Fireplace. Only 15 minutes from the city of Lucca. The sea, with sandy beach, is distant only 30 minutes from the house. (Lido di Camaiore -Viareggio- Forte dei Marmi). Completely renewed, inside the house and outside, on 2017. Charming treasure trove within our rustic Tuscany. A villa belonging to 18th century with its perfect proportions and fascinating structure. It has been renovated maintaining the original characteristics and re-furbished with autenthic, original furniture. The elegant style and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic villa is situated within an olive grove, surrounded by the sounds of nature- but nearby, about one hundred meters far, the owners are living. Lucca is a medioeval town, full of history and surrounded by unique, centuries-old walls. The house lies 11 km. from the centre of Lucca and is ideally located to take day trips to Florence -70km., Pisa -20km, Siena and S.Gemigmano -90km. The Lucca region reaches as far as the mediterrean coast in Versilia, where the famous Forte dei Marmi is situated. The elegant beaches and fine sand are renowned within this area. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. If you want a week away from it all you couldn't do better. Most mornings were in the garden just reading in the sun. The small farmhouse is very peaceful with great views. The house is comfortable and everything worked (incl Wifi). It could do with a bit better seating area inside for the evenings, it's ok and you are normally outside. A small point. On our visits to Italy, we prefer staying in a place where we can experience a homelike atmosphere and we were not disappointed. Coffee in the mornings and returning in the evenings to enjoy a most beautiful view from the patio was so relaxing. The home is described as a Charming Rustic Villa with a Fantastic View - this is not an exaggeration in the least. Only a few minutes from Lucca, the house is located on top of a hill surrounded by hundreds of olive trees overlooking the lights of the city. Surrounded by olive groves, you are nestled in the hills amongst the other stone houses & villas of the Tuscan countryside. Lucca about 20 minutes away! Pisa is about a 1/2 hour by train, bus or car! We saw this property on line and were very so surprised to find it is just as wonderful as it showed on VRBO. Massimo was a delight and met us at McDonalds and escorted us to the house. The GPS stops part the way up and you would never find it. The property was very clean and he left us a loaf of fresh local bread and a bottle of wine. Massimo will also give you the shortest routes to attractions and places to park (important) The only part that was a bit surprising to me was we had to pay for gas for the hot water, range and heat as well as any wood we used for the fireplace. Ruhig und mitten in der Natur gelegen ist das der perfekte Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und genau wie auf den Fotos der Präsentation im Internet.Unser Gastgeber Massimo hatte viele gute Tips für Ausflüge, Restaurants und Einkäufe. Er hat uns mit seiner Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft einen tollen Urlaub bereitet. Massimo notre Hôte très gentil et très professionnel pour nous donner de bons conseils de visite. Nous avons fait depuis la maison les cinque terre, Pise, Sienne, Florence où nous avons pris une voiturette de golf avec guide c'était génial.
