"Beautiful and clean "
Staff was friendly and offered a humble experience. The view was beyond our expectations and the fact that it was a last minute trip found on Expedia was even more impressive.

Les Lofts St-Joseph

"Home away from home!"
The St. Joseph Loft is located not far (about 15 minute walk) to Old Quebec City. The apartment well very modern and exceptionally clean. The two bedroom accommodated our family of 6 quite well. The only complaint would be that curtains separated the bedrooms from the main living space. When we put our 4 year old to sleep at night we would have to be extra quiet because the noise would travel right down the hallway into the bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped with all the pots and pans we needed to make breakfast in the morning. There was detergent available for washing your clothes in the washer and dryer in your room. There wasn't a maid to come and clean your room each day or replace your towels, but you did have the option to spend $60 to have someone come, we opted out. Not far from the apartments were many restaurants (Poutineville), a bakery/chocolate store, and a grocery store. We did witness some homeless people sleeping on store stoops, and just a block away at the church. If you're driving, prepare to get lost in the maze of one way streets. My husband got extremely frustrated by the labyrinth of roads, but being there after a couple days we finally got better at navigating the one ways. The staff was only available from 11am-7pm, so if you had any questions, that was the time to get them answered! We had no problems connecting to the internet, only problems figuring out the TV. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return again!

Hôtel Manoir Charest

448 Rue Dorchester, Quebec - Map
This is an older hotel of only 15 rooms, some sharing bathrooms and I prefer private bathroom (which we had). Its is very central to all in old Quebec, close to hospitals which was the reason for us being there. It is very, very clean and the owners are great hosts. Continental breakfast was as expected but the personality of the owner running to the bakery shop to get us whole wheat bread ( called boring bread) because my husband is diabetic and I cannot eat seeds make me realize how much the hosts considered their guests. Would stay there again.
