We swam in it and it was cold but fun. We shopped locally and had a lovely three days and nights there. You are breaking up a road trip with a comfortable night or nights stay in modern units with all of the amenties. The other reason is you want a modern place that you can just chill, watching the ducks in the lagoon/lake while you enjoy a morning coffee or in the afternoon sitting on the seat by lakes edge.
