Welcome to the Carlisle! This cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home is a great place for your Louisville stay! With only 5 min to Churchill Downs, 6 minutes to Expo center, 10 minutes to Downtown and 5 min to the Airport, this location cant be beat! Enjoy the Roku on the flat screen TV from the comfy leather couch and have your coffee with the horses in the morning! Each bedroom has 2 Queen sized beds, comfy pillows and sheets. This was an outstanding property. I had no issues with the stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and well kept but some of the surrounding stores/locations leave something to be desired. I would suggest this property for anyone looking to stay in the Louisville area.

My wife and 2 dogs stayed here for an extended weekend (thurs-sun). I’ll start off by saying the prior reviews of the place had us a little worried about the location and neighborhood. However, by the end of our trip we determined there really was nothing ever to be worried about as we had no issues the entire trip. If you’re bringing dogs, look no further as the house has a great backyard and a nice sunroom where the dogs could stay while we were away. (Not temp controlled so this would depend on the weather). Only recommendation I would have for the owner is to put a stake or something in the ground on the outside of the back fence to keep it from being able to push open. Looks like someone tried to secure it closed with a strap, however, the wind was still able to push it enough that if a dog wanted to escape it could. Easy fix! Just thought you should know. We took a Lyft to Churchill Downs the first evening, was super cheap ($6). Lyfts for downtown were also cheap - about $14. There were also tons of good food options and nearby parks within short driving distance. The house has a garage with nothing in it that could be used for parking. Our truck was a little too big to fit, however, the house is right next to a church center parking lot that we were able to use and keep our vehicle off the street. All in all, we had a great time. We saw some reviews prior that said noises kept them awake at night. This wasn’t the case for us, we slept through the night each and every night. The house is in a lower class neighborhood, however, there was never a time where we felt unsafe.

Overall the property was nice. Everything was clean and tidy. Good communication with the property host. The fence needs some repair. We attached a bungee cord while we were there so the dog couldn't get out.

The house was clean and cozy but underperformed. Small things like a mini ironing board, no chairs in backyard or patio, awkward seating for 4. Neighborhoood a little sketchy at night. Ultimately, had gas tank broken into and siphoned while at the Derby. Derby was walkable.

The house was all that we needed - small yet had enough space and was clean. Neighbhood was a little questionable but we felt safe when Inside. Communication was good are quick. I did make notes that new bed sheets are needed as they were worn thin and elastic was gone. Would be nice to have darker blinds on front windows. Very easy to find and great location close to Churchill Downs, airport & Expo center. Street parking was easy to find directly In front of our house.

Excellent rental. Very clean and cozy. Bed mattress very comfortable. Nice touch with Keurig coffee maker . Great fenced in yard for dog. Quiet neighborhood, very close to Churchill Downs. Would stay again Only negative was the local convenience store was a little “iffy” at night. Ok during daytime.

Cute little house with nice fenced in backyard
Nice house close to the expo center where we were competing with our dogs. Backyard was perfect for the dogs to stretch their legs in the evenings. The owner was very response and returned our texts promptly. We would definitely stay here again.
