The bath has been lovingly renovated while retaining the clawfoot tub. Enjoy a long soak with hand-crafted scrubs and soaps. There is no shower! You are surrounded in comfort from the ultra soft sheets, luxurious robes, and Sleep Number bed to the gourmet hot breakfast delivered to your door every weekend morning. Séjour de 2 nuits en septembre 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### James M. 9 sept. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Lovely stay in historic cabin On arrival we were greeted by tammy who explained all about the cabin and how far it dated back, cablin is decorated in period style but with all the mod cons you would need. We were travelling around Kentucky and this was the perfect place to unwind. Enjoyed meeting captain and the fairy show at night. ##### James M. Séjour de 2 nuits en septembre 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Margaret F., Mentor Ky 13 août 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Much Needed Getaway After and Before Medical Procedures After several months of medical treatment and with more to come, we found one weekend where we could get away. I needed a change of scenery and to feel like I was doing something normal. We didn't want to spend to much time traveling so we picked Louisville, 2 hours away and near our son and daughter-in-law. Captains Cabin provided just what we needed. It felt like we had really gone on vacation! It was perfect. In my communication with the owner I had shared my medical situation and the hosts went over and above making us feel cared for. Our son and daughter in law came over one evening and fell in love with the place and are thinking of trying to stay there for their baby moon! Thank you Captain's Cabin for the best weekend getaway we could have imagined. ##### Margaret F. Karl and Melanie from Alabama: Amazing, authentic,1800's log cabin with all the modern amenities (A/C, Fridge, Microwave, Stove/Oven, Coffee Pot, Keurig and a Sleep Number Bed). Our hosts, Jan and Tammy & Captain their very calm dog, welcomed us and we immediately felt like we had been long time neighbors. Jan and Tammy were both there for us if we needed anything but also gave us our space. Melanie and I were there to visit our daughter who recently relocated to Louisville. We unloaded a U-Haul full of her things and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and recover. We spent hours each morning just sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and taking in the beautiful setting. On Saturday and Sunday Tammy brought delicious gourmet breakfasts to our front door (Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissants, Cheese Grits and a Bourbon Apple Pie Saturday, and a Sausage/Egg/ Cheese/Hash Brown Casserole, a Raisin Bourbon Bread Pudding and a huge bowl of Blueberries, Strawberries, and Grapes with Balsamic Vinegar on Sunday). Trust me, I'm a regular ole grits and eggs guy...It was all delicious. The surroundings are full of beautiful flowers and trees. It's just a short walk (or you can drive) to the creek or pond. The fire pit sits down from the cabin in the open area below Jan and Tammy's house We saw deer, ducks rabbits, a weasel, and the creek is full of crawdads. We had a wonderful time visiting with our daughter and playing in the creek. Jan and Tammy were wonderful hosts as well. ##### Karl B.
