We stayed eight days, hiking every day in a different location. There are many trails within an hour's drive in national forests and state parks. It wasn't a problem for us, but potential renters might want to note that the door to one of the three bedrooms, adjacent to the main hallway, is permanently open. (The room is small and the large bed means that there is no way to close the door.) The owner of this cabin is helpful and responds quickly to questions and concerns.
