This gorgeous 1 bed, 2 bath beach front home is very spacious throughout and features a huge wrap-around deck that offers some of the most spectacular views that you’ll see anywhere. Floor to ceiling windows along the length of the deck allows in lots of natural light and adds to the welcoming feeling that you get as soon as you enter the front door, when your eyes are immediately drawn to the beautiful Sea of Cortez. There are few places in the world where the mountains meet the water in perfect harmony, as they do here. Situated on a beautifully pristine, natural turtle nesting beach cove, this beach front home is situated in what many consider to be the most desirable neighborhood in Los Barriles. Enjoy the brilliant Sea of Cortez sunrises and the amazing sunsets; relax as you barbeque and dine on your huge deck, under the star filled skies; and just feel the calm as you unwind from the hectic pace that you’ve left behind. You’ll marvel at the sight and sounds of breaching whales and the sting rays jumping out of the water to fly through the air; then “belly flopping” back into the water. Amenities include a large master bedroom, with an ample walk-in closet and spacious bathroom & shower. There is also a sizeable guest bathroom, complete with a large shower, situated off the living room, and, a full-size laundry room with modern washer and dryer, ample shelving, folding area, etc. As well, Casa Tortuga boasts a full-size kitchen and dining area, along with a private courtyard area, and, along with all the other amenities listed below, yes, of course you’ll have complimentary wifi! Also, of more interest to some than to others, we realize, the gardens are professionally landscaped and regularly maintained. Kite boarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and snorkeling on a coral reef in safe, swimmable water is all within steps of your home. If your preference is to be on dry land, there are amazing hiking and biking trails nearby, ATV’s are available for rent in town, along with yoga and a new and well- equipped gym, to mention only some of the fun things that you can do. And, located about 1 ½ miles from Casa Tortuga is one of the very top attractions in the Baja, the new, world-class Tres Palapas Baja Pickleball Resort, featuring 10 excellent courts, with amazing amenities that includes a café and smoothie bar, a restaurant and rooftop bar. A 45-minute drive north from the San Jose del Cabo airport gets you to the entrance of the Los Barriles, the quaint little town that is home to about 5,000 people; approximately ½ locals and ½ expatriates. Casa Tortuga is situated a little over 3 miles north of the center of town and is an easy ride to pick up fresh fruit & vegetables, grocery and beverage needs, and, a good variety of restaurants serving quality, delicious food. They were both very friendly, helpful, and responsive. The home was gorgeous and in a perfect location overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The home was immaculately clean, well-appointed, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The home was bright with incredible lighting from the oversized windows and sliding doors. The king sized bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping with the sliding door open so we could hear the sound of the ocean. The two bathrooms were clean, spacious, with plenty of luxurious towels. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The outside areas were spacious, with lots of comfortable seating, tables, bbq grill, and amazing views. The property's landscaping was spectacular with plenty of palm trees, cacti, and flowers. We saw and heard lots of hummingbirds and butterflies. If you play pickleball, the home was a very short drive (about 1.5 miles) to Tres Palapas, a fantastic and fun location to play pickleball and socialize. Step outside to enjoy a breakfast with gorgeous ocean views and watch the birds welcome the day as you listen to the sound of waves rolling into the rocky shore below. We were even blessed to see a mother whale and her calf breaching just off shore. Everything at this lovely home was perfect. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for cooking. We loved the large range with 6 gas burners and had all the cookware and knives we needed. The bed and all the furniture was very comfortable, storage space was ample and the washing machine was large enough to wash all our clothes. The hosts were extremely friendly and responsive. Always available, but never intrusive. There were many choice of good restaurants in the area. For a delicious good value meal we liked Taqueria El Viejo and for a special night out, Santuario was heads above the other nice restaurants. For a nice breakfast or drinks by the beach, visit La Playa. The passion fruit smoothie was world class. And, of course, the home is just 1.7k down the road from the Tres Palapas Pickleball Resort where we met many friendly players from all over the US and Canada and enjoyed lots of good pickleball, as well as some good food and drinks. ##### Bill D. We stayed at the small casita next to the waters edge last year, and this year we stayed at the main house. You can't go wrong with either one. Gorgeous views and great location. We were looking for a vacation with that "wow factor" and that is what we got here. This beach home had it all and more with amazing views from every part of the house. Sally and Paul were very nice and welcoming, not to mention they are were knowledgeable of the area. They set us up with a great local fisherman for a day & a place close by to hire ATV's (Best way to get around Los Barriles ).Also they headed us in the right direction for the best places to eat in town and good ideas to go explore the area. May 6, 2018 #### Amazing location right on the ocean, incredible views, beautiful house, informative hosts The house is well equipped with plenty of room and there are great outdoor areas to enjoy the sunrise and listen to the constant roar of the ocean. The host, Paul met us at the house and answered all our questions and gave us recommendations for dining, etc. The one restaurant had such good sushi that we went back three times. The beach is rocky so bring water shoes but the surf is safe to swim and there is snorkeling gear and kayaks. The house is in a quiet community (we hardly saw anyone) with one restaurant and pickle ball court, but Los Barilles is about 10 minutes away where there are restaurants and anything else you could want. We found that the supermarkets did not have great fruit or vegetables but we found a store that just sells fruit and vegetables of good quality. We bought a bag of oranges on the side of the road and made fresh orange juice. Some minor problems with the house (e.g., fridge door did not close well so milk went sour) but a fabulous place to stay! ##### Jeanette M.
