Nice hotel close to beach.
Nice place, comfortable room, well-intentioned staff. Minor things like our complimentary NY Times never materialized. The vanity in the bathroom was a bit chipped and could have used repainting. The shower never completely shut off (an ironic contrast to the sign asking us to conserve water during out stay). Fig restaurant was pretty good - not outstanding. Nice servers but they could use a bit more training (to automatically wipe up the coffee they spilled during the pour, to check on the table more often, remember to bring condiments or beverages we asked for). We were only two people at our table, and dined at off peak times (6ish pm and 10 am during the week), so was neither super crowded nor empty. Could benefit from updating the menu to add more healthy, vegetarian options. California service a bit on the casual side for an upscale hotel.

Thank you very much for your review. I am glad to see so many pros, but apologize for the areas in which we could have provided better service. Your feedback has been shared with our respective teams so that we can improve for your next visit and the rest of our guests. I am sorry you did not feel that FIG met your preference for healthy or vegetarian dining- our recent re-launch actually focused heavily on being able to combine traditional Mediterranean cuisine, most of which is incredible healthful, with the health conscious mindset of Southern California. Making healthy food delicious is truly a specialty of our culinary team, and I am sorry you were unable to find something to your liking.
