Not all that

Pros: Front desk staff; proximity to cafes, bars, restaurants and original boutiques
Cons: the rooms - dark, poor ergonomic design, tired (throw cover was so revolting, I wouldn't even touch it with my hands)
Location: Son of a Gun Restaurant - dinner; Joan's on Third - breakfast & lunch; local boutiques on 3rd for original items
Rooms - very average, dark, poorly designed (all about form over function). All mirrored glossy but no closet light and not even a coffee machine. Pool area not much more than a gathering place for selfie-addicts, bored pool attendants, and stilettos. Granted this is LA but at least the pool at The Four Seasons wasn't so depressing! The staff at the front desk were excellent - very accommodating and gracious but even they can't really make up for what amounts to a very average hotel.

SLS is AMAZING!

Location: Very convinient location! 15-20 mins away from LAX airport. 5 mins away from the Beverly Center shopping mall.
The aesthetic, the service, the cleanliness, and even the food were all amazing. I was really surprised at how engaging and helpful the staff was all throughout the building. Definitely my new and favorite lux Hotel in LA. Highly recommend!

Impeccable Service

Location: The Beverly Center Shopping mall
My husband, two children and I chose to celebrate my birthday here as a mini staycation. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we said goodbye, we were treated like gold. My 2-year-old son adored every moment here, especially the pigs! He woke up the next morning begging to see the pig at the front desk with apples on it's head. Anjeanette at the front desk was such a joy! She gave me champagne at check-in for my birthday and was silly with my son. Jamie, Herbio and Ben enhanced our experience even more at the pool! People like this make us want to come back every weekend!

I have stayed at this hotel often and have loved the staff, location, and amenities. They provide great service, a phenomenal gym, and a fantastic brunch/breakfast.

Stayed there in Feb 2017. Amazing Place. Rooms are nicely designed and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel but no coffee maker in the room and no qtips or cotton jars. The bathroom is beautiful but the bathtub is a watery mess.

First come first serve?!

My boyfriend & I stayed at the hotel for Valentine's Day. The staff is so friendly & provided great service. The only complaint I have is my room. I booked a Premier room, called the hotel & was told that the premier room was on a higher floor with city views, that is not what I got. I was put into a superior room, facing the hotel, I had paid extra for that view. When I called the front desk I was informed that all of the Premier rooms were unavailable when I arrived. Since when is it first come first serve when a room is ALREADY PAID FOR! after going back & fourth with the front desk I was moved into a room with a view... the view was of another building & a billboard. Overall the hotel is nice, but I won't be staying there again. You don't get everything the photos state. For the price your better off spending your money elsewhere.

Used to love this hotel

Not sure what happened to SLS.. this was my go to for years in LA. Didn't have a king room which we booked, put us in room with high pitched squeal, moved us to another room with just doubles. There was dirty towels in the room and just felt very cheap overall. Room service food quality was terrible -- especially in relation to cost. Overall very poor experience. Very unfortunate

Room was so dark that we needed to open curtins fully to get "normal" light. Rooms starting to get old and soon need to renovate. Resturant was outstanding (5 star) and amazing drinks. Really nice rooftop terrace.

Very disappointed guest

Since the beginning we had to wait very long term until we got are room than , once we came to the room everything was very dirty we asked for exchange the room and the answer was sorry but we fully booked and there is no room available. Overall very bad experience, we will definitely not recommend for that hotel
