We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It's teslly unique and beautiful...main thing that could have made it a little better is queen beds instead of doubles and a bit larger room. Staff was very helpful. Elevators tend to close on you thou.

Great location, nice hotel overall

Location: So central to everything. Strange that people said La Cienaga wasn't pedestrian friendly, we found it fine to walk up and down on.
Location was great for us, close to everything as Uber was cheap anywhere in Weho. Hotel is very nice BUT it is dark, didn't mind the lobby and such being so dark but the rooms are way too dark, small windows and very poor lighting. This became more of an issue when getting ready to go out. Other than that its a cool hotel to stay at. Found Bazaar a total rip off with mediocre food at best, ambience/service is killer though. Rooftop and pool is a nice area and the scene was pretty chill, nice place to hang out if you have the time. Only other thing I would say is the hotel is getting tired, furniture looks a little beat up, needs a little refresher. Overall great stay, staff was so nice and helpful!

Elegant, comfortable hotel w/ lovely rooftop pool

Pros: The restaurant is easy and comfortable, very laid back. Fast, efficient service and a good menu. Great breakfast. Very comfortable, quiet rooms.
Cons: The electronic key recognition in the elevators is a bit unreliable, you can be swiping your card a few times before it sees you.
Location: Rodeo Drive about 20 mins walk, but it's LA so everywhere is a drive. Easy location to be based, good for access to Hollywood and Santa Monica.
A well-positioned hotel with super-comfortable rooms, great amenities and friendly staff, I enjoyed my stay at SLS. I was very jet-lagged having flown London - New York - Los Angeles in one day, so I need comfort, quiet and fast service in the restaurant when I arrived. All of that was delivered perfectly.

Unpleasant stay :(

The entrance of the hotel is very nicely designed, I really like it. But when I first entered the building, there is a strong artificial refresher smell. The staff is very nice at the time I checking in, but later of the stay they are not, there's not even a smile, and they talk in the way makes me feel I am bothering them. The room seems very nicely furnished, however there's very old building's smell, the room is actually very small but they put mirrors all over the bedroom and bathroom wall to make it looks big. The night light stand links to the bed keeps falling down, the security safe is broken, there's only place for their expensive product in the fridge, and there s no coffee machine or tea. There was a fire emergency testing during my stay, they didn't tell me in advance, just slipped a notice the night before. It would be nice if they tell me at the time of checking in,so I can change my hotel! It went on from 8am to the afternoon, it is so annoying, I was waked by the sound, and it kept going for many hours. When I calls the front desk to make sure, they are very not nice and said this is want happens and hanged up! Ughhh! I think it is my worst experience ever.

Fabulous! Pamper yourself. Highly recommended. We would here again. Excellent restaurants by Jose Andres. Beautiful ambiance. Spa treatments a must! Complimentary car service within a two mile radius on a first come first served basis.

Stay away from room service

Stayed at the SLS about four years ago and had a very nice time, sadly the hotel does not seem to have been updated since then. The staff was very friendly but the food was a disaster! Stay away from their hamburger! I had a very unpleasant experience, I ordered a burger from room service and was sick the whole night long, was not able to maintain any food during my entire stay, and had to stay in bed most of the time because I was so ill! As compensation SLS took away 50 USD from my room service charges. Will not be returning anytime soon!
