While the house itself is charming, the area wasn't really all that walkable. Not generally an issue for us, as while in L.A., we behaved like all locals, and drove everywhere anyway. The house felt secure, with a locked gate up front, and a gated driveway out back. They had a giant container of Bustelo coffee and accoutrements that served us well through our entire stay, and that was much appreciated. We had some issues, as it was quite cold at the start of our stay, and the doggie door let all that cold air into the house. Took care of that myself in a very non permanent but functional way. Had some other issues with the not-so-smart-lock on arrival, but Allen the host was very responsive to this, and any other minor issues that arose over our long stay. ##### Steve R. The location is great for west side living, but also very easy to get on the 10 and 405 to go elsewhere. The property is very private with a gated drive, tall hedges and a gated front. The house is beautifully designed. It could use a bit of maintenance, but all in all we had a lovely stay.
