USC game day get-a-way

Posted 7-Nov-2016
Pros: The kitchenette, the fireplace, the service, the amenities.
Location: It is close to Lawry's Prime Rib restaurant, which is a must for us. It is also a chort drive down La Cienega to I-10.
The staff were extremely helpful - from the valet to the manager. It has a small boutique feel added to wonderful efficiency and friendliness.

Hidden away in a busy part of Los Angeles.

Posted 6-Nov-2016
Pros: Location and price was fair.
Cons: Lots of amenities, but all had price tags. Rather not have all those hidden expenses.
Location: Heart of social Los Angeles.
Very relaxing, very nice amenities. Two bath robes. Fireplace! Staff was very helpful.

Wonderful place to stay! It's like a little Chateau Marmont without all the attitude. Beautiful French decor, intimate atmosphere, great restaurant and a heated salt water pool on the roof; what more could u ask for?

Best rooftop in West Hollywood! Great staff and a spot breakfast. Kooky decor make it unique and all the more special. All in all - a terrific place to stay in West Hollywood.

Bad Experience

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Pros: Food
Cons: Pool area it was overcrowded, lots of non hotel guests and no lounge space for us as hotel guests, felt extremely unwelcome.
Location: Good
When I went to enjoy the pool area it was overcrowded, lots of non hotel guests and no lounge space for us as hotel guests, felt extremely unwelcome. The food was great, but it takes a looooong to get the food and servers often forgotten our requests and food order. The public area of hotel design is very cool, but the room design was bad. The room cleaning service never showed up until I had to call them by 4:30pm, they had a dark bad story by the bed. Bell boy took very long to help us with our luggage when we left. The elavetor is hot, crew comes with food in the same elevator and takes a long time to get the elevator. I wouldn't stay there again, for the price of the hotel, I could have gotten a way better experience.

Magical little gem!

Posted 4-Oct-2016
This lovely little boutique hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and well appointed; and the bed and linens were wonderfully comfortable. The staff can't do enough for you. Everything about this place is special. Lounging by the pool on the roof top is probably one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon in Los Angeles. If you want an "experience" you'll never forget. Stay here. You'll be talking about the Petit Ermitage long after you return home.

Disappointing views

Posted 22-Aug-2016 on Orbitz
Cons: Correct descriptions on website and bigger, nicer bathrooms
Location: Good location, but that's about the only thing justifying the high price tag of this place
There is nothing wrong with this hotel. It is perfectly clean, and the rooms are decent. My disappointment lies with the views. My boyfriend and I booked an Executive Suite for quite a lot of money and chose this room over one of the lesser rooms because of its "unparalleled views of Hollywood" that were advertised on the hotel's website. When we got to our room on the second floor and looked out each of the two windows, however, all we could see was the back of (quite an ugly) apartment building. We tried to call downstairs to confirm that we were in the right room, but the phone was completely broken. When we did stop by the front desk on our way out to dinner, we were told that the hotel was completely sold out and that this was the highest room available. We were offered a $10 bottle of wine for our troubles. When we checked out the next day, I informed the manager of our disappointment with the hotel, to which she told us that the hotel does not actually offer any views, apart from that of the rooftop pool, despite what its website claimed. We explained that we refused the wine the evening before and asked that she not charge us the exorbitant $39 overnight parking fee, which she indeed dropped. Definitely would not stay here again and deplore the false advertising of the website.
