Best rooftop in West Hollywood! Great staff and a spot breakfast. Kooky decor make it unique and all the more special. All in all - a terrific place to stay in West Hollywood.

Bad Experience

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Pros: Food
Cons: Pool area it was overcrowded, lots of non hotel guests and no lounge space for us as hotel guests, felt extremely unwelcome.
Location: Good
When I went to enjoy the pool area it was overcrowded, lots of non hotel guests and no lounge space for us as hotel guests, felt extremely unwelcome. The food was great, but it takes a looooong to get the food and servers often forgotten our requests and food order. The public area of hotel design is very cool, but the room design was bad. The room cleaning service never showed up until I had to call them by 4:30pm, they had a dark bad story by the bed. Bell boy took very long to help us with our luggage when we left. The elavetor is hot, crew comes with food in the same elevator and takes a long time to get the elevator. I wouldn't stay there again, for the price of the hotel, I could have gotten a way better experience.

Magical little gem!

Posted 4-Oct-2016
This lovely little boutique hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and well appointed; and the bed and linens were wonderfully comfortable. The staff can't do enough for you. Everything about this place is special. Lounging by the pool on the roof top is probably one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon in Los Angeles. If you want an "experience" you'll never forget. Stay here. You'll be talking about the Petit Ermitage long after you return home.

Hi: I've stayed at the Hermitage many times - but I don't see it in my future. This is my third night at the hotel (for this stay) and I've encountered the following: 1. Room Cleaning: Far too late in the day. It was finally cleaned after I complained at 5 pm. I hadbeen out all day and wanted to nap and get cleaned up for dinner. Cleaning this late is nonstandard for the industry. For New Yorkers - this is ridiculously late. 2. Pool Area: Too many outside guests. Makes it impossible for guests like me to enjoy. There is no place to sit - and the outside people have no respect for the hotel or its guests. 3. Room Delivery (breakfast). I ordered poached eggs with salmon. Was delivered poached eggs with ham. 4. Air Conditioning: Impossible to regulate. No ability to set temperature. Either have to run nonstop or turn off - no automatic shut off. 5. Check In: I arrived just a few minutes before 3. Was told my room wouldn't be available for a while. I complained - and found out the room was available. Again - problem with cleaning rooms too late. 6. Room: I ordered a larger suite. I wanted one with a coffee maker. The room I was given was one of the smaller suites. 7. Reporting: Your email for reporting service-relate issues is not working. 8. Laundry: Returned late

Gem of a hotel

Posted 4-Jul-2016
The hotel was a great find. Staff was great and the decor was amazing. The bed was firmer than my liking but some people will like it. make sure you explore all around, the rooftop was awesome but even the stairwell was cool.

Party Hotel

Posted 1-Jul-2016
We stayed at Petit Ermitage last year and had a nice stay, great staff, quirky cute restaurant. This time the pool was so over crowded with people there were no seats. Drunk people everywhere, people making out, running and jumping in the pool (yelling cannon ball!), all adults all out of control. The concierge said they were having a "pool party" that day? It was so overwhelming we decided to leave the pool area even though the pool was part of the reason for our stay. Later that night it got worse. The room next to ours began blasting music after midnight, slamming doors, running down the hall. Again, drunk partying all night. The staff is great and the hotel is cute but this was our last stay. Just not our crowd.
