Hôtel original, ambiance très différente des chaînes d'hôtel. C'est un peu un retour dans le temps, au début du 20ème siècle… donc s'attendre à des chambres peu lumineuses et une isolation thermique pas optimale. La connexion au Wi-Fi n'est pas bonne. La situation proche des plages de Santa Monica est optimale. Le prix des chambres est un peu cher.

The staff was very unavailable, hard to get in touch with them. The parking situation is weird, they told me they would park my car out front because I had an early morning check out, but I had to pick up my own car in an alleyway while it was still dark (unsafe).

Palihouse Santa Monica is a lovely, cozy hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Santa Monica steps away from restaurants, shops, and activities, not to mention the beach! Our room was BIG, with a full kitchen and balcony.

Walk back in time into this historic landmark hotel. No detail is missed from the furniture, wall paper, dishes, and door knobs. It is just a few blocks from the Santa Monica promenade and lots of dining and shopping but still nestled in a quiet residential block. I only wish I could stay longer.

This hotel is such a gem...perfect location, quiet but so close to the beach and restaurants, shopping. The decor is so gorgeous and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. So many sweet little touches. We've stayed here three times and love it more each time we come! One of our favorite hotels!

I really loved this small hotel. Just two blocks from Montana Avenue, two blocks from Third Street Promenade and two blocks from Ocean Blvd, the Palihouse Santa Monica has remade a 1920s apartment building that has been through many incarnations over the decades… I had a small apartment— living room, dressing room and bathroom, bedroom, plus small table area in front of a small vintage kitchen, complete with stove and coffee.even a private terrace off the living room. Loved the public room and garden too — very atmospheric and inviting.

The property is very old and there were ladders and scaffolding throughout the lobby. We came back to the hotel at 11:30 PM and the HOTELS FRONT door was locked, our key did not open and we were forced to try to use a very old call box which went to voicemail. After about 2 minutes someone answered and buzzed us in. This property is close to the third street promenade which has many homeless people. LEAVING YOUR GUESTS LOCKED OUT OF THEIR HOTELAND EXPECTED TO NAVIGATE YOUR COMMS SYSTEM IS UNSAFE AND I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

Thank you for leaving your review and I am very sorry that you had trouble getting back into the hotel during the later evening hours. For the safety of our in house guests we do close and lock the front door after 11:30pm so as to not let nonregistered people on property, however, our front desk agent should always have the cordless phone on their person to intercept any callbox calls from registered guests when reentering the lobby. In regards to the scaffolding, we were in the process of revitalizing the original ceiling paint work and so we apologize for the unsightliness of the scaffolding but these are things we must do to maintain our historic building. We loved everything about this property. The location was quiet but convenient to restaurants and shopping and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there. We can’t wait to stay at another PaliSociety property again soon!
