It was a cute boutique hotel. My girls loved it! Very clean, comfy, and quiet. We had a city view room with a balcony. Didnt ise any of the amenities, but want to go back for the summer! It was the perfect location for our needs. Everyone was so helpful and friendly!

I don’t recommend this place. $40 surprise daily charge! Terrible! Very old property in a junky area next to cannabis store and lots of homelessness. Felt crammed and “free” breakfast was gross. Sticky silverware and tables.

My family and I stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was part of the best experience we have had traveling with children. From the front desk to housekeeping to the people the served our breakfast. Very accommodating on all requests. We will be returning for sure!

Location was great and staff was friendly however there was construction going on the property and every morning I had to wake up early because of the noise. Due to that I was unable to get any good sleep during my stay there.

The manager is amazing. We had a little miscommunication on our reservation, but he not only made it right, but went the extra mile. He put us in a suite overlooking the ocean. The staff helped us move our bags. I have always loved staying at Hotel Erwin, but this is a great example of when things in life don’t go right, it’s how you react it. The staff at Hotel Erwin go out of their way to make it right and provide a priceless experience. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location, if you want to be in the thick of the Venice boardwalk. It was really noisy in one side of building, so I would suggest asking to be on the quieter side. It was much better

Rooftop bar closed early both nights we were there (fri and sat nights). Downstairs cafe doesn’t open until 9am. So you must go off property for coffee and dinner. Valet and bell hop are Amazing! Front desk was curt and rude, not very welcoming. Location is perfect. Would stay again but will probably look at other options first next time.

Don’t do it if you’re traveling from far away.
I was supposed to stay Friday through Monday at Hotel Erwin. I booked it a couple weeks prior. I live in the Midwest and a terrible winter storm came through and canceled all flights out for the weekend. The airfare was refunded without any issue whatsoever, but Hotel Erwin refused to refund me for the weekend despite me unable to travel there. I was even offering to rebook at an upgraded room price for a different weekend when I could fly out again; but they refused. Not only did they refuse, but they were quite rude about it and they kept handing me off to different people. Some of which said I should get a refund, but ultimately led to the assistant general manager who claimed there was nothing he could do. I travel for work often and this is the first time I’ve had a hotel refuse to refund me or rebook me due to missing a flight from a storm that is out of my control. Do yourselves a favor and if you’re traveling from a long distance, book with a different hotel.

The hotel is centrally located enough but the cafe is not accessible there is no room service and no one waits on you in the rooftop bar. So there is actually no service although the staff are super nice and cool and do their best.

Yoshua, at the front desk saved the day. His professionalism and timely manner with locating my documents and having them ready was priceless. I cannot thank him enough. The hotel is close to the beach with many dining options. We used the free bike rental along the boardwalk and ate at a scenic beachside cafe. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Erwin right by the beach and would definitely recommend it to our friends.

This hotel was phenomenal. Every detail was excellent, like an airbnb.. The rooms were lovely, beds comfortable right by the beach. Staff were very helpful and showed love and care giving our kids gifts, and cleaning our room. Free bike use was awesome. The roof top had great atmosphere and was lovely watching the sunset. We didn’t eat up there as pricey for a family. I just ordered a cocktail and sat up there in my own for a bit. I highly recommend this place and we would love to stay again. Valet parking was $49 a night so we utilized the parking across the street for $40 a night.
