Great neighborhood, great room rates and free parking. Get over the stairs. You need the exercise. :-). Surrounded by excellent restaurants and shopping. No complaints. The web site photos are true and accurate.

Very Nice Hotel

Posted 16-Jan-2016
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Nothing. You can't ask for a larger room when the building cannot accommodate. :)
Location: Lots of shopping and food within walking distance.
My only complaint would be the size of the room. It's a little small. Otherwise it was comfortable and nicely furnished. The bed, which is the most important part of a hotel room, was very very comfortable. The room was sparkling clean. Staff was awesome. Place is clean and smells wonderful.

Quirky, Euro-style hotel in Glendale

Posted 13-Jan-2016
Pros: Room cleanliness, wifi speed and reliability.
Cons: Well an elevator for one, but that probably isn't possible.
Location: Lots to do nearby, all in walking distance.
First, this hotel is not in Pasadena, it's in Glendale. Second, there are some oddities, like no elevator to what is basically a third-story walk-up hotel. Also, parking is in a bank parking lot behind the building. There is no breakfast provided that I saw. Evidently this hotel has been here since the late 1920s or something like that. That said, the room was nice, reasonably quiet and fairly well appointed with nice furnishings and quite clean. In room wi-fi was excellent, a major need for me. Also, there is a nice bar downstairs and the hotel is located on a street lined with shops, stores and restaurants, so walking0disrtance options were plentiful enough to the negate the weird parking set-up. Overall, odd, but nice. Definitely not an Embassy Suites or Holiday Inn. If you want something a little different, you could do worse.

I just wish they have an elevator

I just wish they had an elevator. To many stairs for me but I would still stay there. Hotel staff was always available for luggage :) area was outstanding and parking was free.

Good Location, Tiny Bathrooms

Posted 4-Jan-2016
Pros: Location, Walking distance to lots of good stuff. Bed was comfortable and room was clean,
Cons: More places to place personal items in the bathroom, shelves or something
Location: Location was good. Shopping, restaurants and movie theater in walking distance
"Boutique" hotel. Rooms are very small and the bathrooms are tiny. The pedestal sinks have place to even put your toothbrush, The showers are so small my wife had trouble shaving her legs. Also, there are no elevators and all the rooms are are accessible only via stairs. The location is good right in downtown Glendale, close to shopping and good restaurants.

convenient location

Posted 4-Jan-2016
Pros: convenient location
Cons: They were a bit stingy with amenities. Would not be recommended for anyone unable to walk up flights of stairs with their bags.
Location: Near the Glendale Galleria
We stayed here over New Years as we were attending the Rose Bowl. The location was convenient to shops and restaurants. It is close to the freeway. The room is tiny. Two people can't get around the bed at the same time. There are LOTS of stairs and no elevator. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Not sure if I would stay here again but it fits our needs as most accommodations are sold out over NY in Pasadena and Glendale due to the Rose Bowl parade and football game.
