Was a Ok stay

Posted 22-Mar-2017
Pros: It was in the center of town which is great for walking to restaurants & shopping. The bed was very comfy and the rooms were clean.
Cons: The carpet needs to be updated it was dirty.
Location: Lots of restaurants and shopping
The hotel its self was nice, the rooms were updated clean and the bed was very comfortable. However there was NO elevator and there are a lot of stairs, especially if you are on the 2nd floor, be prepared to do a lot of stair stepping.

Pleasant Surprise

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Pros: Fair price in good location.
Cons: Needs elevator.
Unsure when booked but happy with stay. Room was clean and up to date but had large furniture that made room smaller. Stairs bit much. Neighborhood was very nice (businesses, large buildings downtown) with good restaurants and shopping.

Close to restaurants

Posted 13-Mar-2017
The stairs were terrible getting up to the hotel and then to our floor. Had to be moved from original room after 1 night because the mattres was horrible, it was wore in the middle so my husband and I were folded into it like a taco. The 2nd rooms bed was better but the bathroom had a stand up shower so small you could not bend over if you dropped the soap, and no room to toiletries. Too tiny for 2 people. The location of the hotel was nice and the staff was nice. Should have Ben adjusted on rate for downgraded room.

Stairway climb to get in

Posted 8-Mar-2017
Pros: Rooms were very nice and the location was great for work and post work (ie blowing off steam).
Cons: Elevator would be nice. Parking is in Bank of America lot on back side of building.
Location: Lots of places to dine and enjoy beverages. Shopping.
Stairs and no elevators can be daunting for some. The rooms are pretty small compared to what most people are used to, but they are typical for boutique Southern California hotels. Close to a lot of shopping and friendly people at the counter.

Great hotel in Glendale!

Posted 6-Mar-2017
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, particularly for the desk in the room which allowed me to work comfortably. So many hotels have desks that are the wrong height for the chair they provide, or the desks are really small. In this case, I needed to work, so I was happy with the set up, and there were enough outlets for me to plug in my devices. The Wifi worked perfectly for my needs. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was well-stocked with everything you might need. Parking was free and conveniently located behind the hotel. The only minor criticism I could give is that because the building is older, the noise (even from the plumbing) does travel, but earplugs solve this problem if you are a light sleeper.

A Manhattan feel in Glendale

Posted 6-Mar-2017
The decor of the hotel room and the hotel was of the 19 thirties and forties. The the furniture was very nice the bed very comfortable and plenty of pillows and towels. Parking was good and the hotel was clean the only small drawback is there's no elevator. This is definitely a do-over for me and my wife when were in Glendale.

Good location downtown and walk to restaurants and shops. No elevator so need to walk up alot of stairs. The staff was very helpful in carrying the bags up. Comfortable small rooms. But there is a serious lack of lighting in the room: only 1 reading lamp and 2 pot lights. No other reading lights, overhead light or lamps. Lack of counter space in the bathroom. They really need to replace the hallway carpeting as it is musty and old. They spray too much fabreze or whatever they spray in the hallways to cover it up but the spray just makes it worse. Really bad for people with asthma. Just replace the carpet to get rid of the old musty smell, stop spraying the hallways. Small rooms but quant old hotel. Good price and for the price would stay again.

Heart of Glendale

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: Located in the heart of Glendale, clean and friendly
Location: The Wooden Spoon across the street has an excellent breakfast and lunch menu
This is a modest, clean and friendly hotel located in the heart of Glendale. I've stayed there several times and have never been disappointed.

Great Location

Posted 25-Feb-2017
Pros: Proximity to everything in downtown Glendale
Walking distance to Americana and many, many restaurants along Brand Blvd. But be prepared to walk up and down steep steps. The hotel is located on the second floor of a commercial building and there are no elevators. Pack light unless you enjoy lugging around 50lb luggage up and down the stairs of the hotel and its parking space.

Gem in Glendale

Great Staff. Great location for walking to restaurants and shopping. No room service but who cares when all kinds of restaurants outside the hotel steps away. I will return
