We had a three day visit to L.A. and friends in Glendale. The hotel was conveniently located and close to shopping, food and entertainment. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a strong odor of orange oil in the hallway, which gave me pause, but thankfully it did not follow into the hotel room. The staff were friendly. The room service was great and there was free parking in the lot behind the hotel (which is like gold in LA.) Good value. One word of caution, I don't believe this hotel is accessible. To get to the lobby, you must climb a long flight of stairs. Next door to the hotel is a Massage Envy and a nail salon, which we took advantage of for some additional pampering while we played in the city of angels. Next to that is the most wonderful Cuban Bakery -- you HAVE to try their potato balls!-- called Porto's Bakery. The food was to die for, but be prepared for long lines, your taste buds will thank you. About four blocks down is the Americana, which is a Vegas-y style shopping mall --we stopped off for some drinks at the outdoor wine bar by the fountain. It was wonderful and it felt very safe. Finally, I recommend Din Tai Fung, a dumpling house and Chinese restaurant. Very good.
