Simple, nice and stairs

Posted 18-Jan-2017
I picked this hotel for the price and the pics. Our room was clean, small and simple. The bed was very fluffy comfortable. When you walk out of the building, you are very close to shopping and many food options. This is an old building so the one thing I found out until after I booked and paid, is that there are some serious stairs. The back are a little steeper than the front so luggage and stairs equals be careful. They do offer assistance. Overall, I would stay here again.

Great location, older hotel

Posted 18-Jan-2017
Hotel is in great location. Free parking was nice but quite a treck from the parking garage (behind hotel) to the lobby, especially with luggage. I did like the room setup and ambiance however the only negative part was the noise. Since it is an older building, you could hear everything all around.

Itchy and uncomfortable

Posted 14-Jan-2017
The hotel is okay appearance wise and the rooms look nice but a bit small. The whole night, my husband and I were itchy due to the bed. I've experienced insects/bugs at other hotels less than 100 dollars per night so I thought paying over 100 dollars for this "four star hotel" would help me avoid sleepless and itchy nights. The hotel was not worth over 100 dollars per night. The hotel staff was nice but niceness does not pay for discomfort. I would not recommend staying here. I heard everything the neighbor were doing and talking about. The walls are not sound proof and I will never come here again.

Excllent location!!!

Down the street from the most entertaining shopping Center, best coffee shops aground and Just steps Away from one of the best bakeries in Southern California 'Portos'. Consider staying here uber and transportation friendly.

Hotel Brandwood

Posted 11-Jan-2017
Cons: Renovate entrances
Nice room, however entrances to the hotel are not easily navigated, stairways to both front and rear entrance. Steep stairs to back entrance where the parking is. No elevator which is difficult for an elderly person. The stairway is very old and odorous.

Very good location in Glendale

Posted 4-Jan-2017
Pros: Free parking, staff was very nice, bed very comfortable
Cons: microwave, eliminate the mini bar and allow all the space for your own stuff in the mini fridge, coffee and tea service 24hr.
Location: Great location, easy on and off freeway to head to LA or other areas in southern CA. Although way too many people in southern CA so traffic BAD!
Hotel is old but rooms are well renovated. The hotel reminds me of Europe - rooms are small but functional and perfect for a place to sleep since we were out and about most of our stay for Rose Parade and Rose Bowl activities. In a very nice area of Glendale with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Porto's bakery and café is next door and it is awesome! just have to beat the crowds because there is a line out the door every day.

Great location, great staff, nice parking

Posted 31-Dec-2016
Pros: Ambiance, location, staff were all great
Cons: Elevator!!! Only knock on this place is the walk up aspect
Location: Great location on Brand street. Short walk from one of the nicest bakeries I've every been in, Portos. About two blocks from CA 134.
Boutique hotel with a nice ambiance, fantastic staff, great parking, great location. Large modern bathroom. You are in downtown Glendale on the main north south street. Easy access to CA 134 with access to Burbank and Pasadena as well as connections to the other main arteries into downtown LA. The only knock on the hotel is the lack of an elevator. When I mentioned this at the desk on check out I was informed this is being addressed. The hotel has acquired additional space on the ground floor and will be adding a "lift" and a dining area

The stay at the hotel was clean, the staff were very nice, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. The parking structure is the same one used for the bank even though it doesn't seem like it initially.
