Very good and safe neiborhood

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Actually this hotel is not too bad. The neiborhood is very safe and convince. We didn't rent car during our stay, we mainly took buses and uber. You get what you pay, overall it is a good experience. I would stay in this hotel again next time :)

I read the reviews prior to booking. The room was still smaller than I thought. The walls are super thin and noise carries but I brought earplugs and slept fine. The AC is loud and more importantly, doesn't keep temperature constant. The surveillance thing is just an issue of you being able to see the monitoring screen when you check in/out. The cameras themselves are unobtrusive and given that you may be coming in the back door at night, you want them to see you. I didn't have any issues with sketchy people in the alley. There are two flights of stairs at both entrances. The parking provided in the boa lot was fine but I admittedly didn't try my luck at coming back to the hotel during high traffic time for bars. The room was acceptable for the price.

Good and bad

Posted 5-Oct-2016
Location: Great Location to shopping and places to eat. Do not miss going to Porto's Bakery. Great food and pastiries and unbelievable low prices.
Good location, great staff. WiFi on 2nd floor is non existing. Air conditioners are very loud. Can even hear the next rooms. When it turns on one needs to turn up TV volume. When turns off, need to turn down TV volume. TV needs to use 2 remotes.

Pros: convenient
Cons: Elevator
Location: Glendale is a clean and safe neighborhood in L.A. Porto's Bakery has amazing treats. Next to Massage Envy and a nail salon for extra pampering!
We had a three day visit to L.A. and friends in Glendale. The hotel was conveniently located and close to shopping, food and entertainment. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a strong odor of orange oil in the hallway, which gave me pause, but thankfully it did not follow into the hotel room. The staff were friendly. The room service was great and there was free parking in the lot behind the hotel (which is like gold in LA.) Good value. One word of caution, I don't believe this hotel is accessible. To get to the lobby, you must climb a long flight of stairs. Next door to the hotel is a Massage Envy and a nail salon, which we took advantage of for some additional pampering while we played in the city of angels. Next to that is the most wonderful Cuban Bakery -- you HAVE to try their potato balls!-- called Porto's Bakery. The food was to die for, but be prepared for long lines, your taste buds will thank you. About four blocks down is the Americana, which is a Vegas-y style shopping mall --we stopped off for some drinks at the outdoor wine bar by the fountain. It was wonderful and it felt very safe. Finally, I recommend Din Tai Fung, a dumpling house and Chinese restaurant. Very good.

Average Hotel

Pros: Economical price.
Cons: Knowledge of the staff regarding local transport.
Location: Glendale is a lovely community and the hotel is in situated ten minutes walking distance from Glendale Mall and Americana on Brand which is superb.
Not the best hotel but for the price you get what you pay for. The hotel staff were polite, friendly I think would be a step too far but definitely not rude. Glendale isn't far from Downtown (Hollywood Walk of Fame) but if you don't have a car do not expect expert support from the hotel staff as their knowledge of local transport was shockingly poor.

Cons: El hotel no cuenta con elevador
Location: super tranquilo, se descansa muy bien, muy seguro y una cafeteria de lujo a los 50 metros...
La salidad de la habitación es a las 11 am... por lo que nos trajo muchos inconvenientes

Pros: The location was good and close to everything.
Cons: Change the carpets.,
Location: Restaurants, shopping malls , theater was in the vicinity.
No elevators in the hotel. The condition of the carpet was bad and the funky odor of the stairways was unpleasant.
