I had to find a hotel at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised by this find. Would definitely stay at the Hotel Brandwood again and would recommend it!

Nice old hotel with modern amenities!

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: LOCATION
Cons: VERY loud a/c units
Location: Varied restaurant choices and shopping galore.
Great location with everything you need within walking distance. Excellent restaurant choices and shopping malls. Really nice old hotel with modern amenities! Only downside would be the air conditioner is exceptionally loud and not condusive to a good nights sleep. Otherwise, had a great time and would highly recommend to others, as well as, stay there again if the opportunity arises.

This place needs a complete re-modification

Posted 13-Nov-2016
Pros: Please see above
Cons: Please refer to above
This old hotel prides itself more about its location being on Brand Avenue which is a lovely main street but cares little about the people who pay to keep it in business. I was not impressed with what the hotel had to offer in terms of having to elevator in place and flights of stairs for people with luggage to climb. There was no staff member on hand to give assistance to those who might have had a problem with that. No visible parking spaces on the main street you had to go behind a back alley to find parking. Had Bank of America not been close by with its customer parking space available guests would have no where to park. I am not impressed at all with hotel until modifications are done Expedia should not giving this old facility a grade 3 star class rating. Brandwood does not deserve it.

Quaint, nice atmosphere.

Posted 3-Nov-2016
Pros: Very quiet, great staff. Clean and comfortable room. Seemed like a secure place.
Cons: Stairs, but not a huge deal. There is help for you to carry up luggage if you need it.
Location: Alex Theater, great restaurants. Porto's is excellent for breakfast. Went to Santa Monica beach about a 45 min drive.
