Comfy room

Room was nice and bed was comfy. However, we were surprised to find that there was a door that connects to another room. Although locked, it didn't seem all that appealing. We also kept hearing the people next door cough. In the fridge, there was a leftover soda from the previous guest. Not the biggest issue but they weren't thorough cleaning. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Pros: Good remodel, nice Pent House restaurant.
Cons: Needing a credit card for incidentals is discriminatory towards those who wish not to use credit cards.
Location: The cities of Long Beach and the Lakewood Center Mall are close an convenient.
Great hotel, close to the airport. We had breakfast downtown Long Beach, caught an amazing movie, 'Hidden figures' at the Lakewood Center mall. I then caught an extremely well priced flight to Las Vegas, where I connected an continued on to Atlanta, GA. It was a relaxing easy way to travel.

remodeling of restaurant

I wish I had known the top floor restaurant was being renovated before booking my stay. That's the big attraction to the hotel for me.

Good experience. They are remodeling but could have done a better job in the rooms. Don't get me wrong it looks ok. It's a place to sleep and it was comfortable.

Helpful Safe and Clean

I had a wonderful stay. Timely shuttle with polite, helpful and kind drivers. Always available when I need them. The check in staff were more than helpful, the looked professional, clean and they behaved professionally. I had great service at Peet's Coffee/temp restaurant. Again, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Everything was very clean. My bed was very comfy , and I loved my room. I would stay at this Holiday Inn again in a heartbeat, and I will recommend it to all of my friends. Sincerely, Cathy

Decent hotel, recent remodel

It was ok, but paying $10 for parking after paying $150 for a room is outrageous.
