Nice Business hotel, nice staff

Nice, clean rooms, they are renovating now and thats good. Staff is very nice. The Pool is nice but all the Parasol are broken

Overall it was ok however they were doing work during my stay to better the hotel overall it was okay however they were doing work doing my stay better the hotel

The hotel is very old. Carpets are in poor condition, chair and ottoman were old and dirty.

The staff was unfriendly, no Bellman to be found to help with the luggage and drilling starting on Sunday morning.

Seen better days before

In time this hotel potentially will be better as renovation is underway. Noise when elevator is in operation gives uncomfortable feeling. Hallways to rooms has frayed carpeting and dimly lit. The circular structure of the building didn't help, as it give a claustrophobic feel. The room furnitures are a bit outdated and dusty light fixtures. The sheer & thermal drapes on the sliding door was nicely hanged. However the thermal drapes didn't work, as it can only be drawn only at half length.

It is convenient to the airport but, it is old.

Pros: It was convenient to the airport, the free shuttle to the airport was nice. The drive was very courteous.
Cons: It appear that you are in the process of upgrading so that is good because the carpet does appear a bit old.
Location: The near by eateries left alot to be desired.
The staff was nice but, frowned at the $75.00 deposit "just in case" you partake of the snacks and room service. The sheets did not appear to be clean. I found hair stuck to the sheets.

Pros: The view in the breakfast penthouse floor
Cons: The whole hotel is dated and old needs a deep clean in all the rooms, hair and filty carpets
Location: Ok location no real eating selections that we were familiar with close to University which we liked. Also close to Seal Beach which is beautiful
Very disappointed, based on the pictures I thought the rooms were going to be a lot nicer. We got there on a late check in which was guaranteed. We got our key cards one card did not work after trying the second card it worked it took 10 additional minutes to get into the room. Once inside the room smelled like cigarettes, supposed to be non-smoking. The room was an older dated room, carpets very dirty walking around in my white socks they soon turned dark brown underneath. I booked this room specifically for the fridge since I need to keep medication cold, no fridge. After 15 minutes trying to contact the front desk they agreed to have maintenance bring one up. We had to wait another 15-20 minutes finally got the fridge in which was a very old run down fridge smelled terrible. The fridge looked like they picked it up from the dumpster. It took about 4 hours to actually get cold. The shower was very small you can't close the door unless you muneaver your entire body out of the way almost in the tub, toilet dirty. Lumpy bed and stained pillows had a cigarette smell. The breakfast was not good bland tasted awful especially the eggs. The only good thing was the view and the our server was nice. The whole hotel was just out dated and front desk staff was not friendly. At almost $200 a night I would prefer other options. This hotel in my opinion deceives guest with nice pictures not true to pictures. Another guest told us when you book third party you get worst room selection

Bad experience

Cons: Communications between expedia booking systems and holiday inn booking systems
We booked for 4 people including breakfast. When we checkin, Hotel staff gave us breakfast vouchers for only 2 people. We showed them our expedia booking mail in which our breakfast was included. Hotel staff said that in his system only appears two breakfast, so he can not honored the way the booking was made. I asked him to sell me the other two breakfast and he said me that he can not sell me them. The room was noisy and not well cleaned.
