Initially I was uneasy with the location but there weren’t bad comments re homeless in immediate area so I decided to book for a trip to Hollywood Bowl. Was not disappointed! Security guard in parking lot was reassuring. No problems encountered at facility! Would stay again especially for $$ and peace of mind.

Liked how there was security at the front entrance. How close it is to everything. Staff was amazing! Would be great if the cafe and bar was up and running!

We stayed 3 nights and found it to be a clean and safe property, and the value was unbeatable. The neighborhood itself is mixed with a home depot across the street and several homeless camps, but security is present and we felt safe at night. Pretty quiet too. Rooms are fairly small but fully stocked with amenities such as fridge, microwave, hair dryer etc. I would definitely not think twice about staying again.

Sunset Blvd is a very active roadway, which makes for a noisy daytime stay. The hotel location is perfect to drive to the tourist spots of Hollywood and close to Universal Studios. Hotel is very well lit at night and seems to be a secure place to stay. And hotel is AAA approved.

Nice place, comfortable and friendly
Quite a nice motel and room. As advertised, their dining facilities were closed, which was sad. But the property and the employees were all excellent. I even got quick service for a problem light. Had 2 gripes. 1) No bedside lamps for reading or computer work. There are 4 pretty bright spotlight-type ceiling lights, including one right over the bed. Pretty exciting when you wake up at 5 A.M. and turn it on, lol. There was also no microwave, which i discovered the next morning when I went to heat the coffee I bought the night before, Oh, well, lol. Overall, quite happy with my stay and the entire staff. Yes, I would stay again.

Property good & comfortable for a short stay. Rooms well presented and beds comfortable. On returning to our room after house keeping had serviced it we did find the door not closed properly! Area of street immediately either side of hotel was safe but we wouldn't walk too far after dark

We had an amazing stay at Dunes Inn. First, hotel has plenty of free parking, which was paramount importance to us. Second, check in process was super easy and quick. Also, the room was clean, recently remodeled, and the bathroom was in pristine condition. When were needed late check out, staff accommodated us. Since it’s in close proximity to Kaiser Permanente, we will be staying at your hotel again. Thank you for treating us well!

Perfect location. The staff was so nice. There was some noise at night. The A/C was so loud. Everything was super clean except the carpet floor. I love to take off my shoes before entering the room but the floor made my feet turn black.

The hotel is very nice but, very noisy, you can hear every, people flushing toilet or taking a shower that was the only issue we didn't rest listening to those noises other wise nice clean place.

This is a budget property, so as long as you don't expect much, it's a good place to stay for a few nights. The only thing I really disliked was the lack of lamps on the nightstand, so your only option is harsh overhead light. Remember to bring some good earplugs for sleeping since it's on a major street!
