This is a very private main house with hedged front yard and perfect front porch for lounging. Owner lives on property in secluded guest unit. If you are looking for a safe and quiet neighborhood to stay in while vacationing in the Los Angeles area, this is the one! This house is 2 blocks away from the Glendora Village where you will find plenty of quaint restaurants and boutiques. Amenities include washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, Kitchenaid mixer, all the tools needed to prepare a gourmet meal, 2 large flat screen TVs both equipped with Roku, full sized walk-in shower. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has a twin size bed. The outdoor space was really lovely - a good size and shaded which helped with the hot weather. Jennifer was the perfect host and was very patient while I sorted things out with Vrbo customer support. She was accommodating and flexible with all my requests leading up to the booking. This was the perfect spot for our visit. The neighborhood is quiet and cute, and the house is walking distance from restaurants (which the dog loved). The home was well equipped. It's in a nice neighborhood near the base of a mountain. We felt safe. Close to many restaurants and shopping. It had old fashioned charm. I loved so much about this place. I wanted to give a perfect rating but couldn't because of one thing...feeling like we had no privacy. While there is a tall hedge around the property, you could still see into the neighbors homes and they can see into this home. All of the curtains are see through. I don't mind this in the common living areas. But, I do mind in the bedrooms. Especially the front bedroom. The host has nice Roman Shades, but they are made with a sheer muslin fabric. At night you could see into the bedrooms. I asked if they had privacy shades. Unfortunately, they said no. I appreciate that the host didn't mind us adding an extra layer (towels were suggested) for our privacy. This was not an ideal solution. Upon our departure, this was the only suggestion I made...please think about adding something to the windows to provide more privacy. The host said they would take care of this. I hope they follow through.Would I stay here again? Yes. Since our daughter lives in Covina, there is a real chance. The host responded to all of my messages, in a timely manner.
