Don't count on an airport shuttle
I called the day before my arrival to let them know I had an 11:55 pm arrival at LAX and to schedule the airport shuttle. I was told no problem, the shuttle was 24 hrs just call when I had collected my bags at baggage claim. My flight was actually 10 minutes early, so all was well until I tried to call for the shuttle. The phone rang 15 times without a pick up. I called back. This time I let the phone ring 32 times before a young man finally answered. I was told that the the shuttle was coming from their sister hotel, but could not understand the name of the hotel. I did confirm that it would be a Best Western and was told yes. I then proceeded to wait under the hotel shuttle sign. 45 minutes and no shuttle with a Best Western Logo on it. I called the hotel again, and this time a young woman answered. I told her how long I had been waiting and she informed me that a Comfort Inn shuttle would arrive with in 5 minutes. No apology was given. Note in this time the drivers from the 4 Points Sheraton and the Renaissance both stopped and asked their respective hotels if they could drop me at the Best Western. The Sheraton Driver actually checked to see if they had room for me. At this point, finally, after 15 minutes the Comfort Inn shuttle arrived. When I told him the issue, he apologized, said he had not ever received a call for the earlier pick up. When I finally reached the hotel at 1:30, still no apology from desk staff. I will never stay at this hotel again.
