I couldn't say enough nice things about this hotel. Great views, excellent location. I would and will stay here again. My favorite hotel of all 3 hotels that I stayed at in Croatia. Get a sea front room, you will not regret it. The very best views, service, food - everything was perfect!

Hotel Excelsior is an elegant hotel, incredibly well run, with a stunning view of the sea and old town. Extremely convenient and lovely amenities. The staff and hospitality is second to none. We were here in late March before tourist season had started, so there was some limitation on restaurants and amenities. Otherwise, it was amazing.

Incredible!
We had the most incredible stay here while celebrating our honeymoon - we never wanted to leave! From the moment Marko met us at check-in, we felt so celebrated and well taken care of. We debated whether to stay directly in the old town, but this ended up being so much better. You get to look at the old town as your view and the walk over is so quick and beautiful. We’ll worth getting the patio to enjoy the views and listen to the waves. We cannot say enough great things about Hotel Excelsior and have already recommended it to friends. We hope to be back soon!

This hotel was fabulous. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Dubrovnik. The sea view was amazing. The location was perfect to walk to the old city, but have the sea frontage. I already want to go back! It made my visit to this city wonderful.

Great staff. Very accommodating. You have to ask for VIP benefits. They didn’t have an upgrade available at time of arrival but offered o e the next day. It wasn’t much of an upgrade so we did not take it. The breakfast was outstanding!

Very luxurious. Phenomenal breakfast buffet included with full yogurt bar, fruit, cereal, pastries and hot made to order menu items also included. The private beach / swimming ledge had beautiful views of the sea and old town.

Loved this property from the moment you walk into the lobby and have a full view of the old city and the bay. The rooms in the newer building are nicer and more modern, buy I would recommend to stay in the older building with a sea view. It is one of the best hotel views I have seen. The deck on the water is the best part of the hotel. We spent most of the time there. The restaurant on the water was average food not up to par for a 5 star hotel. We did mention this at checkout and we got a credit for the lunch we had there. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the town.

Head & Shoulders hotel...
For those old enough to remember, "You never get a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression". We arrived at 2 for check in, after driving from Split. The lobby was flooded with bags and our room was not ready. We just wanted to check in, freshen up, and relax. Instead we had to go walk around town (it is a beautiful town😍). The ine night stay from there was good. The staff really tried to make things good. The partial sea view room is spacious and the bathroom is very large with plenty of counter space. The breakfast buffet is really goos and the view overlooking the Adriatic is beautiful. The pool and spa are fantastic....but who wants to stay inside when Dubrovnik is only 5 minutes away! In the US we would refer to the Excelsior as a yuppie hotel as there is a young crowd around in their bathing suits and flip flops.

I love this hotel so much. It’s just a chill clientele (not stuffy) and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Marko at the front desk is the best! We were upgraded to a suite in the new section and we loved it. Also the buffet breakfast is amazing. So much variety and eating outside is lovely. The view of Dubrovnik is stunning. We can’t wait to come back to this hotel. Worth every euro!
