It is ideal for a magical occasion in the KING SUITE for two, or for family vacations and gatherings, connecting with friends, 4th of July, Kite Festival, Rod Run, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's. The house boasts 2 kings, 3 queen beds. Most bedrooms have their own flat screen TV's but we bet you won't need them. The property is located in a picture-perfect setting on two acres, nestled in the pine trees, close to nature, casual and relaxed, and with its own walking path to the beach. At the end of the trail, you will find an elevated bench to sit and watch the waves roll in. Beach Retreat has room enough for up to 10 people maximum and is pet friendly with an extra charge. The downstairs master bedroom has a king bed, master bath and its own sliding glass door out to the large lower deck. There are two more full baths to service the remaining three downstairs bedrooms. All the bedrooms have been remodeled for a luxurious feel. The living room/dining room offers hardwood floors and an open floor plan with a wood burning fireplace \[GUESTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN FIREWOOD\]. On the other side of the dining room is the kitchen -- a well-stocked galley style, with an adjacent laundry room. Beach Retreat has plenty of parking with room for 2 cars near the house and up to 3 more in the lower parking area. It truly has all the amenities you would expect in your next ocean vacation adventure. There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. Long Beach is about 5 miles to the south. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. Just a couple more miles south of Long Beach are Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants that you can buy. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. If you drive north from the house about 4 ½ miles to Ocean Park there are bookstores, restaurants and gift stores and more beaches to explore. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. Improvement opportunities exist which may have to do with the end of summer. However, they exist - not enough soap in bathrooms. Kitchen not well organized nor cleaned well - finding the tools needed to cook was a true scavenger hunt. Good organization with a comprehensive list would do wonders for getting tools back where they belong. Having a washer and dryer was a blessing indeed - some leveling is needed for the dryer door to not swing closed while wet clothes are being moved from washer to dryer - about knocked myself out with that one. It was comfortable and well-furnished. The trail to the beach is a well-maintained path through pretty trees. We had not only all the bedrooms we needed, but the layout of the house was great for our children. Long Beach is a long time vacation spot for our family and we have visited numerous rental homes. This home after 20 years of vacations was the best. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms and kitchen had excellent water pressure, the large deck allowed us a space to visit outside, the property was large for the children to ride bikes and the walk to the beach was lovely and not too long at all. The Wi-Fi was excellent and we had no connection issues. The beds were some of the best we have slept on and we had plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The washer dryer looked new and we used them during our stay. The bedroom upstairs had its own suite with bath and sitting area and it included its own veranda with a view. The only thing I’d mention is that there are many stairs to reach it and so we had to choose the more able-bodied of us to use that particular room. Everyone in our family expressed they want to return to this home in the future since it worked so well for all of us. There was so much space for everybody. The layout is so unique, and really helped bedroom areas stay quiet. There are TWO fridges which really blew our minds. Both decks were great, lovely view from the upper deck and upper king room. Kitchen had everything you could need and even tupperware fir leftoer and food prep. The path to the beach is great though a little long, but our 96 yr old granda still made it out and back once a day. It was great that most bedrooms were on the lower level, more accessible than many places we have stayed. A bit far from town but groceries either direction in under 10 minutes, we like a quiet area and beach. We saw deer daily and quiet a few bald eagles frequent the area. Aug 24, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy This house has plenty of room for our extended family of nine to spread out, and we've enjoyed staying here twice. The kitchen is well-stocked, and we've appreciated having two refrigerators. It's easy to walk to the beach on the private trail through the trees and dunes, and we all enjoyed playing in the water and sand. The house is in a quiet location, with an easy drive to several local towns with shopping and farmer's markets. Communication and check-in were good. ##### Mike H.
