Enjoyed the board games and some movies on DVD. Wi-Fi was solid and cell service for Verizon was pretty spotty. We came here to ski at Dodge Ridge and loved the close proximity. We had great communication with our host Darlene who let us know when the cabin was open. We arrived to a plowed driveway(it had snowed during the day) and when we opened the cabin it was toasty warm to our liking. We thought we needed to bring all toiletries but it was a nice surprise to find toilet paper and paper towels there. The location, near Long Barn, was very useful for access to local skiing, and it wasn't difficult to get in or out of (just be aware that the driveway is steep and relatively short in case you have more than one vehicle). It's also close to Mia's, our favorite restaurant in the area.The interior of the cabin is well-furnished and very comfortable. We were actually surprised at how warm it stayed in winter, and there were plenty of conveniences, like the fireplace, up-to-date appliances, and great living room seating. There was more than enough space for us with two children. One small note is that there is no mudroom or entryway, so you'll want to bring a small mat to lay out wet items like ski gear if they can't remain outside.Thanks for a great stay! After a long day of skiing, it was great to come back to a warm comfortable cabin. It had everything we needed to cook some yummy dinners. The kitchen had everything we needed. Property manager was very responsive. The cabin was very modern and well decorated. We brought several DVDs, but there were plenty there for us to watch. Jul 27, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Beautiful location minutes from Pinecrest Lake which made it convenient to grab a spot at the lake in the early morning and make a couple of trips to load/unload our belongings/people without having to pack the car up to the brim in one trip. Cabin was clean and had all supplies/amenities listed.My only complaint is that there were no window coverings except for the bedrooms and the drapes hardly covered the entire window. I understand mountain life and appreciating the private neighborhood & views, but this made it a bit uncomfortable for those who slept in the living room and had no privacy at all...plus the neighbor’s flood lights across the street lit up the living room at night. The home was an excellent size for our party of 4 and had a nice deck to sit on. Neighbors are quiet. It’s very basic in terms of what they provide and you have to put the sheets on yourself.
