I was supposed to check into this hotel on May 29th 2020. Due to Covid everything got cancelled. I tried to reach the hotel myself several times about a refund or credit and no one has emailed me back. That was 3 months ago and I’m out $600. That’s no way to treat your customers. Shame on you Westbury Hotel Kensington.

The rooms were small and walls are thin. We were downstairs and we were woken up in the middle of the night by the squeaking floor boards from above room. It was so loud that it woke us up. We told the receptionist to change rooms. But they said we cant. Disappointing really. I think they know the problem been there so long but ignored it.

Simple hotel
Simple hotel, tiny rooms (the bedroom door didn't even opened totally), not very clean (carpets should be vacuumed more frequently), breakfast was limited. The staff was nice.

Great location, a few tweaks needed.
Breakfast was good for what we paid. Would have been disappointed if we gad psid £8 each. Drinks took ages to do as hot water slow, staff kept area clean and food fresh and were friendly. The room was tiny but did the job, clean towel on bed had crisps on it when we arrived, radiator needed a good dusting. Toilet/shower room a massive let down, was dated but clean, only prob was it was almost impossible to sit on the toilet as your knees touched the wall, and your face was inches away from the wall. Kettle gad to be right on the edge of the desk for the plug to reach the socket but we managed it. Walls are quite thin and can hear neighbours. Hotel absolutely perfect for location.

Welcoming and no frills, ideal for business stay
Well located for Earls Court tube and rooms quite quiet. Rooms are utilitarian but the price reflects that. Had to change rooms due to damp in first one but reception were excellent, moving me without hesitation. Did not have breakfast there for which they charge £8.

Brief visit.
Pros. Great location, reasonably priced. Quick check in and check out. Reasonably clean. 11 am checkout. Cons. Thin walls and somewhat tired in places. Could have done with a hoover.

We checked all the reviews of the Westbury Hotel before we booked our stay. We went in knowing the rooms are small. We knew the bathrooms were going to be small (but they are ensuites) and provide no toiletries except a all in one liquid soap. We brought travel size toiletries and our normal organic bar of soap. The bathroom was not as small as I anticipated and was very clean. We booked a 2 twin bed room which was small, but the beds are comfortable. The pillows and linens were also good. We had a street side room which could be noisy at times, but once we closed the window, most of the noise was eliminated. We also requested a fan and the office staff provided one right away, which also helped with noise and limited air movement in the room. The location is key and super close to Earl's court tube station. There are several excellent pubs in the immediate area as well. Also, the local Sainsbury (grocery store) is only 2 blocks away. Overall, the Westbury met all of our needs, it isn't a 5 star 250.00 pound per night type of place, but for the price and ensuite bathrooms it's good for a budget stay in London!

Don’t stay upstairs on 4th floor in the summer. No ac and way too hit on the 4th floor with small windows that can’t cool things down. This place is all about location in Kensington. That’s it. The rooms and bathrooms are small.

Upon arriving, was told that despite choosing a Twin Room that is deemed a "request" and not guaranteed. Of course, that is literally the exact opposite of how the hotel industry works, so I was immensely peeved. Front desk staff was atrocious beyond all recognition and cared little for common niceties. Room was no bigger than a prison cell and was similarly furnished. Stay away if you want a relaxing place to rest your bones after a day in the city.

Too small room for 4 adult travelers with luggage
The hotel is conveniently located in Kensington area close to tube stations. The room was cleaned every day. But the room was extremely small, it is for comfortable stay of one person or maximum two. We were looking for a room of four adults and this hotel appeared in search. So we assumed that the room is enough to accommodate four travelers. But it was not as the size of the room was about 10 sq meters and this important information was not in the description of the room.

Basic gripe the room was too small. The hotel was convenient for the underground, but did I mention it, the room was tiny.The hotel was reasonably clean, but in the tiny, tiny room, the shower was effectively unusable. In the room the door would not fully open, hitting the bottom of the bed, which, because the room was so, so small, had to be snug against a wall. Breakfast was good. In the cosy(!!) bathroom, the toilet seat was loose.

You get what you pay for.We needed good location and so got that.Room expectedly small for 4 pple with 2 luggage bags.Tiny toilet area.You have to coordinate movement strategically.Had all we needed for a night's stay.Everything was in working order and clean, so it was fine.

As budget hotels go, the Westbury is a good shout. It's a decent location, nice building, and fairly quiet. The only issue is that there was some sag in the mattress but this can easily be fixed.

The staff was really nice and helpfull. And the location was amazing the tube stacion nearby is on a street with a lot of services like pharmacy and dinners. Overall i woul stay there again and recomend for shore .

Disappointed in the hotel. The walls are paper thin and we could hear full conversations in the adjacent rooms. The bed was horrible. The mattress sunk in the middle and so my son and I kept rolling into each other. The room was so tiny that we had to leave our suitcases upright. The only positive is the location...a 4 minute walk to Earls Court Tube station.

The room was small (as expected for the area) but great value for the money. It was clean and the beds were great. Wish there had been air conditioning in the room as it was stiflingly hot at night. Staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience.

The rooms were small but clean and the staff were excellent. The hotel is in a good location - close to the Earl's Court tube station, restaurants and convenience stores. Also within walking distance to the Science Museum and Museum of Natural History.

Cheap and cheerful
This is a cheap and cheerful hotel, which has obviously has seen better days. I had a basement room and was afraid it would be too hot later to sleep, so tried to open the window. The window lock was jammed so I asked the front desk to investigate. they did, and promptly solved the problem by forcing the lock. No problems other than that. Good night's sleep and enjoyed a nice breakfast the following morning. Reflected with satisfaction that I had paid less than half what my wife and daughter paid for a room in a boutique hotel round the corner...

Great location close to restaurants and tube station. Fantastic staff - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room was small but had a reasonable selection of items and staff kept it well stocked with food. Nice hotel. Close to earls court station (5min walk?). Nice neighbourhood Many supermarkets in the area Kind staff- housekeeping every day. Room was pretty small but not too bad- bed, chair, small bathroom, small wardrobe, small counter top, kettle. Good cleanliness. sheets/shower/floor etc were clean. Lift available. Wifi- good speed. no issues with connection. No aircon- but opening window brought in nice breeze on most days.

Westbury hotel was for the most part really great! It’s located a block from the earls court underground. The staff was phenomenal! They were easy going and readily available. Always had a smile on their faces. The hotel itself needs some updates on the inside and a good deep clean! The shower was very small and the bathroom steamed up bad even with the fan running. Other than that, I’d highly recommend staying here.
