The hotel was very convenient and the people at the hotel were very helpful. I did not like the size of my room as it was very small considering how much I paid per night.

I checked into my first room, only to find a crawling worm like bug on the mattress - I was understandably shocked! The rest of the room was ok, though very dark and dusty. I spoke to reception - they came to check the bed and found the same (or another) bug also on the mattress, so agreed to move me. However, they didn't help me with my bags until I asked, there were very little words spoken to me about the situation, and certainly nothing said that would reassure me the same would not happen in the next room (which was only next door to the first room). The member of the team then stood and watched me strip the bed in the next room to check the mattress, still no word of apology for the inconvenience, and also no consideration for my distress, and the fact I was now running very late for an event. The bed in the second room was ok, but not the cleanest I've ever experienced, and again the room was dark and dusty, with other half dead white 'flies' all over the carpet and around the ceiling lights. I had to stay in the room as I had no time to find a new hotel and make my event in this instance, but I barely slept on returning to the room, and left very early the next day. I was really shocked and upset at the lack of care provided by the team, along with the level of hygiene in the rooms - I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Sadly, this doesn’t present as a 5* hotel. The staff were lovely but the doors to neighbouring rooms were slamming regularly and the room wasn’t particularly clean.

It was the perfect place to stay, very clean, food lovely and staff couldn’t do enough. central to for the underground. Would definitely recommend this, and will definitely be booking again

Great location , close to the underground subway and restaurants and shopping . Probably the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in but I was travelling solo so it was ok . I would not recommend a room in the basement as it was so loud and had no windows. However the front desk very accommodating and moved me after the first night .

Fantastic Hotel located next to Paddington station so incredibly convenient. Solo lady traveler, felt very safe and respected. Rooms super comfortable with great amenities Great restaurant that specializes in Indian cuisine but has European dishes also. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will be staying again.

Good location
I recently stayed at a hotel that had a fantastic location. The hotel was situated in the heart of the city, surrounded by popular attractions, restaurants, and jgood transport link. It was incredibly convenient and made exploring the area extremely easy. However, one aspect that I found slightly disappointing was the size of the hotel. The rooms were quite small, which made it a bit challenging to move around comfortably, especially if you have a lot of luggage. Additionally, the limited space made it feel a bit cramped.

Only gripe would be the smell, smelled a bit like cat pee in hallways and stairwell. Oh and the annoying bright green light above the door I guess for safety to show the way to the door, but it just seemed really bright so might keep light sleepers awake.

Avoid basement level 8
Please make sure you book a club room. Deluxe doubles are tiny. Room 829 on the lower floor is a must avoid for spa and staff noise. On a positive note, when we spoke to the staff they were extremely helpful and moved us to a club room. Would stay again as overall it was a good value and clean.

The de luxe double was very small including the en suite shower. The lack of a chair in the bedroom , there was a stool . It is certainly not a 5 star establishment. Breakfast was adequate but not a large enough area for the hotel nos on the morning we took breakfast.

We had a basement so no window. . Liked the spa good idea. Good if your travelling from Paddington station but quite a small room and no milk sachets.

A decent place to stay for a few nights, particularly for it’s convenient location, but do not expect a five star property. It seems quite old and dusty and the rooms are so tiny there’s hardly anywhere to place luggage. But generally it is decently clean and comfortable.

great location, highly accessible to Paddington station / interchange. quiet & safe neighbourhood. only concern is small rooms. breakfast is great too.

Great location - close to many transportation options while still being walking distance to many areas. The property is well managed and maintained. Rooms, dining rooms, elevators are on the smaller side, but overall everything works pretty well.

Quaint and nice
We stayed in a deluxe twin room and it was pretty good. Maybe a bit small but very clean and comfortable. Some types of rooms seem to have mixed reviews. The staff were all polite and the restaurant serves pretty authentic Indian food. The location right next to Paddington Station was very convenient.

Horrible. First they unexpectedly put me in a basement room which was weird but tried to roll with it. Didn't really feel safe as the 'window' looking out was right next to the entrance to the basement people were using. Then I noticed a weird grate and flashing lights in my ceiling ( was told it was some security system (see pics). The best part was clearly the dining room was overheard and most of the night I kept hearing the scraping of some heavy furniture over my ceiling. That is ONE towel in the bathroom that felt like sandpaper. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

The location of the chilworth is exceptional. Paddington Station can get you anywhere! Many restaurants, pubs, shopping all around. Size of room was very cramped but I have been told that is normal for London. The space could have been used more efficiently. Room was very clean and staff made it up every day.

The hotel is in a great area, however the room we got was on the main floor, noisy and had no window with a musty smell. The bed and pillows were also very uncomfortable. But the staff are nice and helpful.
