I travel a lot to London for my work and have stayed in many 3 or 4 star Hotels in London. Phoenix hotel should be a one or max 2 star hotel. My first room was quite small, no air-con, dirty and old carpets. then the electricity in my room filed completely. Tried to call reception for 30 min, but I got busy tone all the time. I went down and they changed my room. The new room was also very small. In the toilet, I had to turn 180 degrees to reach the toilet paper because the space was very tiny to install the paper holder closer. No air-con. No anti slip mat for the bathtub. The wardrobe was too narrow that I could hang my short and jeans. I had to hang my coat somewhere outside. No hot breakfast and extremely busy breakfast area. With the same price I could have been in much better hotels.

Although I had confirmed that I would simply stay in a hotel room with a twin bed, I found the room, and the bathroom, so small/tight, it was uncomfortable. In the future I would book a double bed.

Very clean. Polite and professional staff. I stayed by myself and the room was small but more than enough for one person. Some people might expect more in the way of bathroom amenities, but the only thing I missed was toothpaste. Shower was nice and powerful, although it'll be a squeeze if you're on the larger size. I actually said "Yes!" When I saw the jammy dodgers that were included with the tea and coffee, of which there were plenty. Breakfast was really good with something for everyone and lots of it. The dining room was also very nice and made me want to stay, rather than wolf down my food and leave. I'm already planning to stay again on my way out of the UK.

The only thing the toilet tissue holder is broken, space is just enough for one to two person . The elevator is too small and very very slow you have to wait for a long time .The place is clean, convenient to walkable bus stations and restaurants. You can hear all steps upstairs who stays there. Staff are good. My stay is pleasant.

An okay hotel that’s not worth the money I paid. The toilet itself is a hate crime — it’s in a very narrow space, I barely fit (overweight, 6’1). The area is nice, close to the tube and bus stops.

A really nice stay at The Phoenix.
A really nice hotel, close to Bayswater tube and just a short walk from Royal Oak. The staff were friendly and very helpful during my 3-night stay. My room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was really nice, with a decent selection. Really good value. I will very happily book further stays at The Phoenix.

Charming convenient hotel
This hotel is a gem. It’s in a great location a few mins walk from Bayswater and Queensway Tube station. Only 15 min walk to Paddington station too. It’s convenient for lots of sights either on foot or via a short Tube ride. My single room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. It was modern and had everything I needed, including shampoo, shower gel and soap! There was a tv as well as a kettle and tea and coffee stuff. The hairdryer was handy too. Although my room (215) was front facing as well as near the lift, I heard little noise. Lots of restaurants and bars within a five minute walk as well Westfield White City is not too far away on foot nor is Portobello Rd Market. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and intend to stay here again.

The standard single room was very small, if you want a bit more space I would not recommend the single rooms. The bed was comfortable and there is no air-con. A portable fan was provided in the room which was needed even in September. The window in the room was quite big but could not be opened. There was only 1 small drawer for storage but the room was so small there was nowhere for any storage. It was a nice hotel and the staff were helpful just don't book a single room, even for 1 person, you will need to spend some extra money here.

Loved the area. Easy walk to many restaurants and buses/tube. Very vlose to Kensington Park and Castle. Dislikes - no Air/Con, safe or fridge. But a great breakfast 😋
