London is extremely cheap at the moment. I needed a room for one night and saw The Park International for £40, which given its location is a bargain. Then when I booked I was upgraded to The Fraser Siite. Amazing value. Worth a trip to the capital just for that.

My husband and I stayed here in early March. Flew in from Florida- arrived at 11AM- we were exhausted and worried we wouldn't be able to check in but thankfully our room was ready. We upgraded to a a junior suite- which after seeing the other rooms there was no need to do. We did have more space but it wasn't necessary. The location was perfect. We were able to get to the metro within 4 minutes walking and we were able to stock up on snacks from the nearby waitrose. My only issued is upon check out the front desk asked if we ate anything from the minibar- which we didn't. But they still charged us for it anyway. No biggie- my mom is turning 60 this year and has never been to Europe- my plan is to take her to London and I will absolutely be staying here again.
