Booked a standard room with Queen bed and sofa bed for myself and my son. I received email the day before arrival asking if I'd like to upgrade at an additional cost from standard room with double bed and sofa bed to Queen bed etc. I emailed the hotel and was assured I was booked into room with Queen bed and sofa bed. Arrived at hotel, checked in, went to our room to find double bed, no bedding for sofa bed, stains on floor, walls and sofa and a very unpleasant damp musty sweaty smell, plus coffee table on its side apparently used as bedside table? The air con was making noise but no air coming out and the fridge with milk in wasnt on. I rang down to reception to complain and asked to move rooms. She had to call me back and offered an executive room instead which was very nice indeed, it had coffee machine, dressing gowns to use and slippers. I hadnt booked breakfast as was only available as an add on and very expensive but was given a voucher for money off. After getting up later than planned i decided to get us breakfast anyway but staff there very confused by this and after 3 people discussing it and staring over at us, a lady came over and said they couldnt authorise our food and then asked what our room number was I explained again that i was paying as stated, more conversation and staring before coming over with card machine and saying English breakfast. The man left at the door then spent most of time side eyeing us so felt we wasn't allowed anything else ?
