We had a family of 4 adults and 3 kids and we occupied 2 rooms. Our check in clerks were knowledgeable as they advised and recommended places to visit since this was our first visit. The rooms, bathroom and the entire hotel was very clean. For 3 nights we brought food from out side and the reception especially Shan who provided us with plates and silverware to eat our dinner We found Shan to be very friendly and his hospitality was beyond expectations There was another Indian lady who directed us to chocolate factory and shopping in the Southall The 3 kitchen crew were very accommodating Thank you all we had a wonderful stay Anil Kumar San Francisco, USA

Room smelt and had no windows
Room was quite big but had no ventilation only a.c. (no windows), dark, smelt like stale cigarettes, paper thin walls so you hear lots of doors banging and an additional fee to park your car. Staff were friendly and bed was comfortable, wouldn't stay again.

The bathroom was OK, and that's about all. The room smelt damp and was noisy from an external unit. The double bed was up against the wall which meant one person had to crawl across. My partner also slept badly (he was on the wall side of the bed) because he couldn't"t get warm.

Good price for a one night stop.
For the price this was a good hotel for our one night stay in the area to meet our son. A bit disappointing that they only had limited bar snacks and no restaurant menu but we found lovely Italian and Spanish restaurants in Thornton Heath Pond only 5mins walk up the road. Breakfast was good and all staff friendly and helpful. Did the job we wanted here.

great stay, the room was bigger than expected, clean. The shower area was also clean and better than I expected. Upon my visit I received complimentary water in my room. The free WiFi service was great. For the price I paid I can’t complain.

There was just too much running around a maze of passages and up and down staircases to reach your room, not to mention getting out and back again. The first room did not have a working TV, and the second one had a faulty air-conditioner until our departure. However, the stay there was not that bad and catching public transport was very convenient.

Good budget hotel
I have stayed at Ibis Croydon for 14 nights. All in all, I was very happy. It takes 40 minutes to go to the city center. You need to have a budget of 10 pound for the travel if you want to go to the centre. It is close to Croydon high street too (20 min walk, 5 min by bus). Bus stations are literally in front of the hotel. Breakfast was good, you can have it till 10 am during the week and 11am on weekends. One disturbing thing was, fire alarms started working several times randomly. Sometimes 7am in the morning, sometimes in the middle of the night. It was scary though. Other than this, I was happy with my stay.

Nice stay
Room was comfortable and clean and hotel staff very nice. Had parking at property but that can work out very expensive if you had an extended stay like I did. Only let down long walk to room and lift did not stop on my floor.

The only two things that would be better is: one, breakfast option I.e. more veggies and more hot food choices. The second would be just to put up a notice for the fire alarm to tell people that you will be carrying out alarm checks at 7 am ....

On arrival i thought ok, reception looks bright. Then we entered our family room to the most disgusting smell of sewage coming from the shower. Only had 2 hours sleep as the double bed was very uncomfortable, i felt every spring.

Not a real hotel room! Not safe to stay there.
Terrible, worst hotel stay ever experienced in any country! Firstly, the very small room is not a real bedroom, but an enclosed cupboard with no window at all. So no daylight & no ventilation, only an ac unit that recirculates the stale air. This cell sized space cannot even meet Building Regulations as not a habitable space! How can Ibis rent out such a room?? Secondly, was not safe to stay there, as kept up all night with gangs of older teenagers running rampage; shouting and screaming, and more importantly violently punching & kicking the bedroom door trying to get in from 10.00pm to 7.00am. Had to barricade door from inside with furniture. Was not safe to exit the room to get help or report this violent behaviour and no mobile signal in the room. The room was relatively close to reception and they would have heard all the noise and chaos, but did nothing about it. Reported the events at 8.00am when safe to exit and management apologised saying that a college group was staying and refunded room cost. Don’t stay here or put yourself in this unsafe position.

As soon as we walked in the door a stong smell of sewage from shower. Double bed very uncomfortable and didn't get any sleep. Have a booking for the tuesday but will not be returning as need sleep. Would rather lose my money than another restless sleep....

Lovely staff!
My mum and I stayed at Ibis Styles in Croydon for almost week in between moving houses. The staff at Ibis were extremely accommodating and helpfully assisted with moving all of our stuff. From the people at reception, the manager, the porters, the cleaners, everyone was really lovely and contributed to a nice experience.

Convenient but not value for money
Chose the hotel because of location and parking. Hotel itself is ok but the room was awful. A family room but no windows! Was so claustrophobic. Pleased we were only there for 1 night.
