It’s a beautifully decoratef hotel with polite and great staff, but hotel policies very negatively affected customer service and hospitality.
No free water in rooms. Had to pay for water. Mattresses too hard, pillows too soft. No drawers whatsoever in room for clothing or personal items. No stationery or pens/pencils to note/write anything. When cleaning is happening next door or another room’s door closes, you can hear and feel banging in your room, including from the room above you. No Netflix or movie channels available. Couple times room was left completely uncleaned on our return. Other times, the floor was not vacuumed and soap bottle not refilled. Called for soap and new bottle left on countertop for five days, while empty bottle left affixed to wall unit.
There was construction with hammering, drilling and banging in hallway outside our room without any notice from hotel. That was a terrible nuisance. Wifi service drops every few minutes.
The hotel only uses a particular cab company that they have contracted with. Notwithstanding that no cabs by the company were available, front desk staff refused to call an alternative cab company for us. Spa and car rental services inside lobby of hotel, but closed. When you make enquiries of front desk for opening hours of spa or car rental, they inform you that they can’t give you any information, as those are separate businesses from the hotel. They wouldn’t even provide contact info. Told me to scan a QR code!
