I made a booking for two double rooms and requested adjacent rooms as we were travelling with teens and a family room is no longer suitable. This was also repeated by telephone a week before travel. I was told that rooms couldn't be assigned until the day, but they would do everything possible to fulfill my request, so I was disappointed when we checked in that we weren't even on the same floor and also told there was nothing they could do.
After a continued conversation, the check in team actually were able to move us to the same floor and then found us two rooms together. Quite the turnaround from 'nothing they could do'.
I do have to wonder if the hotel really did 'everything possible' to help me as promised. An unnecessary annoyance at the start of our stay unfortunately.
