Perfect

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: Everything! It was clean, comfortable, welcoming, beautiful!
Cons: Snacks or light sharable food options in the bar would be welcomed! Also share some history about the building itself - its beautiful!
Location: Across the street from Hyde Park; a block or two from two underground stations; many amazing neighborhood breakfast and lunch options; pubs;
This hotel was perfect for what we needed - a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to land after a full day of activities. The staff was lovely, always friendly, always welcoming. The rooms are small, yes, but all we needed was a place to sleep (and the beds are amazing!) and shower.

Not what expected

Posted 10-Mar-2017
The photos of the hotel are not what is seen once arrived. The main entrance is lovely, but the photos of the room are deceiving. They are so small you can barely get into the bed. We ended up having to upgrade cause I'm pregnant for the "bigger" room. The "bigger" club room had a little extra addition that basically let you put your bag down and make tea. The extra part of the room you couldn't even feel the heat.

The staff was very friendly. Love the location of the hotel. Right down the way from the bus and Tube stations for easy access. The hotel was very comfy and rooms were a good size. I would definitely stay here again! Everyone was so kind and helpful

Good hotel but dont turn up late

Posted 2-Mar-2017
Pros: location. staff
Cons: rooms
Location: hyde park
I have stayed here several times, always turning up later at night. Its a great hotel and I always book a better class room. However, because of late arrival you never seem to get the room booked ... which is disappointing. This time it was a a twin rather than a double, as paid for. Another time it was a premium room with the smallest of bathrooms. On that stay I moved rooms the next day and had a very good experience. The windows also have a draught, which is annoying. I would stay there again but would try to turn up earlier!

Charming and an excellent location!

Posted 27-Feb-2017
Cons: Regular meetings with the workers to discuss the best way to interact with guests.
Location: Endless. The world lies before you at this hotel!
While not a 5-star hotel, this hotel is super for its class. The staff are not always trained in how to interact at the highest level but they are very friendly and responsive. The manager does a great job with the resources he has. The location is superb. The Edwardian architecture is gorgeous. Rooms are small but very clean. While I have stayed in much finer hotels in London, I keep returning to this one for its cozy, beautiful, and small feel. When I walk outside, I feel as if I have left a residence in Kensington!

Bait-and-switch to a cheaper hotel

Posted 25-Feb-2017
The hotel was over-booked and I was moved to a sister hotel that typically charges less per room. I wasn't the only one. There were other people in the same situation. I'm not sure if it was a "one off" situation, or something that happens more frequently.
