The tv was not working and it took 4 days for them to fix so we could not watch any tv and no mention of a reimbursement of any kind. Good quality set up, no noise heard from the busy streets near by. The facilities had every thing we needed and overall everything was of a high quality. Plus having the patio in the city centre was a nice to have. Contact from the supplier was positive, making sure they were there to check us in at a time that suited us. My only negative is that the problems we reported whilst staying were not resolved during the stay. I understand issue's can happen, however I'd expect them to be resolved during our stay. We had an issue with flys, a broken cupboard and one of the showers. The shower being the most inconvenient, as the door would not close. Using it whilst trying to hold the door shut was not great. We reported the issues after the first night of a 4 night stay. Whilst we received a quick reply the issues were not actually resolved during our stay. Located very close to the tube BUT also sitting in a VERY noisy part of town (facing a busy fire hall). This turned out to be a major problem during the early July heat wave. The experience would have been greatly improved with only a few things: An electric fan (requested but never delivered). A third table chair (we were two adults and an 11 yrs old child). We arrived on Saturday but had to wait until monday morning to get a chair. Ice cube trays A functional frying pan (the pan provided was not made for the induction stove top and did not work) A pod each of dishwashing and laundry soap. Apartment was in new condition. The only issue was we paid for a 3rd person on the sofa bed but there were no curtains in the lounge therefore that person was awake at 4am when the sunrise. Also there was no heating control in the apartment even though there seemed to be some kind of heat pad. The apartment would sometimes be at 27 degrees, if needs some sort of temperature control. We were extremely happy with our large one bedroom apartment with well-equipped full kitchen, separate bathroom, large living space and european laundry. The bed was comfortable with linens premium linens. From the moment we booked, the staff were helpful with directions, and making arrangements for check in (since there is no reception). The location is less than 100m from Aldgate East station making it easy to get to all the action (Westminster, Piccadilly, Leicester Square) or to Kings Cross for the Eurostar. The best thing is the small guide to the local area to help you find gyms, bars, cafes and restaurants. If you're looking for something a little different from a standard hotel and/or you want way more space than you typically find; look no further. We chose the 2 bed, 2 bath since there were four of us traveling together and we knew we'd need some extra room. Cuckooz did not disappoint! The bedrooms are typical European efficiency; enough room for you and your stuff without wasting unnecessary space. Where they really scored is the downstairs living room/dining area - plenty of room to stretch out without getting in each other's ways. The small kitchen is perfect; complete with a fridge, stove and dishwasher (an ample amount of dishware, glassware and flatware - gold colored! - are provided. Paper towels and dish soap was not). The surrounding area is a good representation of what London has to offer; diverse, hustley-bustely, plenty of restaurants and short walking distance to tube stations and bus stops. If you are looking for a great meal, be sure to check out the Leman Street Tavern and the pizza place next to it - great food and great service. And speaking of service - Cuckooz' service is incomparable. Super-friendly staff, very attentive and quick to fix the minor issue we had with a broken curtain rod. Juliette in particular is a superstar - she kept in contact prior to our arrival and was extremely helpful in arranging travel to and from LHR as well as providing recommendations for local travel once we arrived. We found the apartment offering good service – dish washer, washing machine, iron, efficient WIFI etc. etc. Located 20 min walking distance to Tower of London, 30 min to St Pauls Cathedral and just 3 min. to Aldgate East Underground station you can easily access the UK capital from the apartment. The apartment holds one inconvenience as it does not offer any kind of air-condition. The apartment is located on heavily trafficked Commercial Road with the local fire station as direct neighbour opposite. This is no problem if you keep the windows closed but that left us with though quiet but extremely hot nights.
