Much better than the reviews I’ve seen online but still nothing incredible. Room was as simple as it gets, no mini fridge unfortunately and not ventilation in the bathroom so the room always felt a bit stuffy. The elevator was very bizarre

Arrived at hotel with confirmed booking from Expedia only to be informed by the hotel receptionist that they have no rooms available at the rate we paid.They however had room available for an additional cost. They confirmed they could see we had indeed booked and paid through Expedia but they would not honour this transaction. I was left with a young child in London and now where to stay. There were also other customers in the reception in the same position as us.

The hotel was adequate for my reasons for booking which was for easy and comfortable access to the Cromwell Hospital where my wife was having an operation. I was not requiring anything other than an acceptable place to spend the night and rest between hospital visits.

Nice rooms
Was down for one night with my wife for a concert. Rooms were surprisingly decent size and clean and comfortable. Window looked out onto an enclosed wall space but we were not there for the views. Would stay here again. Hotel throughout was clean. Enjoyable stay. Bed was big enough and comfortable. Nice hotel

Room no the cleanest and No Air Con
On arriving to the hotel it was clear there was no air conditioning. When asked for a fan we were to told to ask the night porter who in turn did not have any. The room needed cleaning - walls have dirt and marks everywhere. The shower had a screw in the thermostat lever so we were unable to turn the temperature down and it was boiling. Had to get the maintenance man to come fix.

The staff was wonderful especially the front desk. They were very pleasant and helpful. The room/bathroom was nice and clean. The problems we had were from housekeeping. The first few days they were wonderful and then tlafter that their visits were less. I don't think they have housekeeping on the weekends. One night some gentleman knocked on the door and said he had found our room key in his room, I figured housekeeping had dropped it. Then a few days later we found a key in our door, don't know where it came from. And then on our last night, we were in the bed and some lady opened our door and we had the deadbolt locked. My husband went to the front desk and she said that wouldn't lock the door you had to lock it from the outside and then the deadbolt. We went 2 weeks with our door unlocked. The other good thing was we were about 3 blocks from the underground.

Good hotel manager but hotel needs more TLC
The facility is old, heater not working in winter which is a disaster. No extra blanket or pillows available. The only saving grace is the young hotel manager who works the afternoon shift. He provided us with a portable heating device to save us from the cold the next day. He’s friendly and efficient, definitely an asset to the hotel.

The property itself was run down, the room and outside/surroundings of the hotel were dirty and the room absolutely smelt to the point where we couldn’t stay there at all and ended up booking another hotel

Do not book! Filthy Room
The floor was not hoovered.dust everywhere. The shower was the worst part of the room. water didn’t drain, door didn’t shut, they used screw as a lever for the shower tap. How is this hotel even allowed to run.

I just completed a trip through several countries and this was the weakest of my lodgings. I was placed on the fifth floor and access required me to take an elevator to the fourth floor before walking up a flight of stairs. Wifi was weak in the building and especially so on the fifth floor. The window was left open before my arrival and there were flies everywhere. Staff was dull and didn't seem eager to help (Example: I asked if they could recommend a nearby bar or restaurant was told "No, we cannot." That's all). They also advertised a coffee bar for the morning but it was never open when I was there. I'll at least give bonus points for efficiency when it comes to storing luggage after checkout. They actually lock it up and make you register on a sign-up sheet. That was better than just placing luggage behind the front desk.

First they refused to change the dirty sheets x. They said in the morning. Belongings of previous occupied where there. So dirt take photos. Water was only very hot water. My mum who is in elder slipped in the bath , they said you need yo wait till we find someone. Need to file a complaint

Nice room near Cromwell Rd
Hotel nice position in between Gloucester rd and Earls ct in Cromwell Rd. Reception friendly. Rooms hard to find odd numbering system. Rooms are fine, quiet, showers abit broken need fixing Room 303. My card didnt work so had to return to reception but very helpful male receptionist, and left his number on case of other issues. Room perfectly good and bed.

The room was clean, and the price reasonable for London these days. Unfortunately I had to ask for a remote for the TV and then it turned out that there was a poor signal so I couldn't watch anything anyway. And for some reason the wifi went off in the middle of the night and never came back on

The hotel was easy to find from Glouster Road Tube and had plenty of places to eat locally. We got there early and the staff were happy for us to leave our bags until we could check in. I booked a junior suite which was spacious and clean, there was a tv in the lower part of the room. The bathroom could do with an overhaul as the bath had a lot of damage and there was some mould and stains on the bath. The windows i think were only single glazed, which wasnt great for keeping noise at a minimum as the road the hotel was on was busy throughout the night. The walls were quite thin and we could hear the people in the next room talking. However for one night and for the convenience of the location it was fine.

Convenient location
The reception staff were very helpful and check in was uncomplicated. Rather a lot of corridors and fire doors to get to the correct room, but plans of layout are available. The hotel could do with updating as there is some flaking paint and damp spots and generally furnishings and beds could be renewed, but it was functional and spacious enough. Extractor fan in bathroom should be repaired as not working and will risk damp in the bathroom if not addressed. TV and kettle and tea and coffee provided.

Expedia used to be a site where I could find deals on decent hotels. After this last stay I don't think I will be using it anymore. The hotel was not good for families. The smell of weed come in our room every night. Had to keep the windows open because there is no A/C. The room and hotel were so badly maintained it was borderline dangerous. There was black mold in the bathroom, railings coming of, dirty mattresses. This hotel should never come up when traveling with kids. I think Expedia has stopped doing any research and will list any properties even if they are dumps.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, sadly the hotel looks tired and in need of major restoration. The room was okay, clean sheets, tv, tea/coffee etc but the mattresses need replacing as very uncomfortable, could feel the springs, lots of paintwork needed, skirting boards rotten, damp and watermarks on ceiling, the air conditioning unit made the most horrific constant noise and then because we had torrential rain after the spell of intense heat we had water coming through the light by the entrance and door frame! Luckily there was a maintenance guy just outside our room who promptly got a bucket and went up-to the roof and found problem so it stopped quickly. On the whole we had the room for one night and if you need a cheap stay in a good area to get around London, just need somewhere to sleep, then it’s fine. Like I said staff great and I would stay again if needed to, we went to a concert so ideal.

On check in only had 2 rooms not 3 reserved then gave my daughter a key to a room that was already occupied and they walked in on the guests took further hour to sort out. One of my daughters had to move rooms, even the assistant manager said he wouldnt sleepin it or use the shower and toilet as so dirty. We had cockroaches in our bathroom and a snell of sewage, sticky, filthy carpets, curtains hardly hung, as uneven floor had a drawer permanently open that only stopped as hit bed, bathroom very mouldy, bedding had to be changed and towels in one roomss dirty and full of hairs. In one room if my daughter had rolled over in bed she woukd of fallen through the 3rd floor window. Air conditioning units so dirty and dudnt look safe to turn on so only ventilation was windows but had no safety catches. No fire safety info in any of rooms, didnt not see any fire equipment throughout hotel. Staff unhelpful(didnt seem to know what they were doing or understood English very well. The rooms were genetally unfit to stay in but as late in day as having been to a concert had no choice but to stay for few hours until light. We would not dare to use the shower as so dirty. Would suggest you remove this hotel from your books i feel it probably does not have a proper licence certainly not a health and safety one!! The photos online are nothing like in flesh as you can see from mine

It was supper hot in London when we were there. I asked for the coolest room they had because I have a medical condition. I don’t sweat. The hotel management were so accommodating. They went out of their way to give me a room with a working AC at a time when they posted on line that they had none.

The location of the hotel is good. But that is where all positive things to say about the hotel stop. The hotel is old , dirty, not cared for, staff are lazy and the room...oh boy...the room ...as soon as you open the door to your room you are hit with a very strong smell of sewage . The sheets and the comforter were washed but left with a chunks of hair from previous guests on them. You are given one towel per person. The shower is very small and full of mold , and black build up all over it. The shower door, I made a mistake of closing it when i got in and I almost could not get out of it. The sink was not clean and absolutely everything has dust and other build up on it. The drinking glasses were dirty...had to wash them before using. The carpet was worn out and not vacuumed properly. The chairs were worn out and sticky. Outside the window I would expect a nice view...not here...falling parts of the building, garbage, falling shingles falling beams, the curtains are probably from the 60 s ...they are disintegrating ... Housekeeping is not done daily...I think they only come once you checked out of the room. There was not even a door sign that says DO NOT DISTURB!...There is only one elevator and if one costumer left the door open you d have to walk up the stairs and the condition of it was beyond belief. It was dirty with old carpeting probably installed in the 60 s . The management and owners of this hotel really have to get to work and improve on the conditions.
