Two night stay turned into a 5 night stay. The property is quite expansive, giving each villa lots of privacy and a much calmer environment. The pool and swim up bar were used quite frequently throughout our stay. Bartendes made the best fresh drinks and service was impecible. The hotel main beach is also a gem. Clear white sand, clean blue waters. We even snorkeled with turtles right out front. The hotel offers free masks and fins for snorekling, as well as free bike rentals. I would definitely recommend and return again.

Cannot find a single fault with Pondok Santi. It was totally fabulous. We were greeted by friendly staff, the room was spacious and modern, and the grounds were a perfect peaceful getaway on Gili T. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Liked how it was far enough away from the main strip to be quiet but close enough to walk to. Nice pool. Felt very safe. The staff knew who was coming and going and were welcoming when they saw you.

Great hotel
Great hotel. Booked through hotels.com which was a mistake as they did not honour their terms. Terms of my booking were pay at hotel on departure but my account was immediately debited the full amount. Hotels.com refused to address the issue. My advice would be to book directly with pondok santi

Beautiful private pool villa and well kept grounds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only area for improvement is the quality of the food and in particular breakfast. It was 5 star accommodation but with 3 star breakfast.

We had an amazing experience staying at Pondok Santi Estate! First of all, the lodging accommodations were so beautiful, clean and modern -- and felt like the most chic island living experience!! And they allowed us to use their bikes to go around the island, so it was very convenient. Second, the beach in front of the resort is the nicest beach on the island of Gili T! Best waters and atmosphere. Lastly, the staff and manager were the nicest and most helpful ever -- they worked with us on any of our requests and helped us book the best snorkeling adventure on their private boat and tour -- I would highly recommend booking the snorkeling through them, since their boat was the nicest out of all other public ones. Highly recommend staying here!!

This was my second time visiting Gili T and last time i stayed at the Pearl, I wish I had rebooked the Pearl this time. This trip was a special one and when reading the reviews this property seemed to be the best on the island, however the reality of the property doesn't seem to live up to its reviews. The bungalow's are lovely, with aircon, clean and fresh linen, tv with English channels, what let's this property down is the quality of the food and also the staff. From a hotel touting itself as Luxury, i would have expected the food to be far superior, the food was bland & at times inedible. We dined at the hotel on our first night & never again. The pasta Aribata was penne pasta with a tin of tomatoes on top with some Parmesan shavings.. Hot Chips.. were disgusting, they had clearly been placed in the fryer before it was warm enough and had soaked up all the oil (which also needed changed) the next morning our breakfast wasn't any better, for the remaining 3 days we went to the Pearl of Trawang a short walk down the road where the food was delicious. This hotel, it is seriously over priced for the experience you get, the staff didn't really care that we were there or not, on the occasion that they did speak to us it seemed very disingenuous.On our first night there, we settled down for the night only to be bombarded with Trance music coming from the hotel beach/reception, we were never informed of this and it went onto 4am even though we were told it finished at 12

Everything was great! It is best place to stay on Gili Trawangan. Beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, beautiful and warm swimming pool with a swim up bar, gracious and welcoming staff. Everyone works very hard to be sure you are having a great time. Excellent service! Fabulous Snorkeling is only a short bike ride away downtown, where you can can go in straight from the beach.

Fabulous Find
My wife and I and our three children (ages 16-22) had a fabulous stay at the Pondok Santi the week between Christmas and New Year. The Pondok Santi is easily the nicest hotel on the island. The rooms are luxurious, the grounds beautiful and the staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. The Pondok Santi restaurant overlooks the gorgeous pool and serves up a delicious breakfast (included) each morning. We also had a good dinner one night as well. The location is good as it is walking distance to the rocking town scene, as well as the sunset beach scene. The island of Gili Trawangan is small and one can easily circle the island in an hour on bike. Bikes, snorkel equipment and paddle boards are complimentary. Overall we were extremely pleased with the Pondok Santi and hope to return. We highly recommend!!

Wonderful spot, the grounds are spacious and well manicured. You are close to the islands central location without having to be right in the action all the time. Our room had a view of the ocean and overlooked the grounds. We felt as if we had our own private cabin on the island, rather than staying at a hotel. The staff dutifully accommodated all our requests and took great care of us. No other spot I’d rather stay on Gili T.

Spent 4 nights at Pondok Santi during our honeymoon and they were amazing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff are amazing and special thank you to Khairul and Eko who made our stay even more special. The restaurant options were very good and we enjoyed every meal. Both my wife and I loved the grounds, the pool, the beach and the fact that the resort lets you use snorkeling equipment and bicycles with no additional charge. I would definitely recommend this resort to my family and friends and we will definitively stay there again when we visit Gili in the future.

Magic. Best place on Gili Trawangan. Best bungalow # 11 -> the Deluxe Private Pool Bungalow. The new manager Komari and his team are magicians: they sense and fulfill your desires, before you realise them yourself.

A perfect stay in every way. From the check-in, meet and greet, through to the front-of-house, pool bar and restaurant. Pondok Santi is not just a great experience Gili standards, it sets a benchmark for any hotel, anywhere. Part of what made our stay so enjoyable (aside from the dining, bar and pool area) was the people. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and attentive, to the point of remembering our names. A special shout out goes to Musa and Tin Tin for the impeccable and personalised service experience. Its rare to get such incredible front of house experiences these days, and Musa and Tin Tin delivered every time!

Everything was perfect... from the welcoming staff to the hotel's beautifully manicured grounds... The only imperfection: they limit the breakfast order option to 1 item per guest & it wasnt exactly sufficient. They served 1 medium sized slice of toast w avacado + a small fruit platter on the side and i find it quite a small portion for even a petite person like me, let alone my spouse who's 1.9m tall. When we tried to ask for 2 slices of toast we were told - they needed to charge for extras. Clearly a hotel with such rates in a place like gili can do better on their breakfast offerings!! Other than that the rest of the trip was pretty faultless.

From what I could tell, Pondok Santi Estate is the best resort on the island. If you wanted to, you could never leave the grounds, and have a wonderful vacation. The food is excellent, including the free daily breakfast. My only complaints are that the wifi is weak in the cabins and the hot water, though advertised, is nonexistent.

We were delighted to find that Pondok Santi is just as beautiful as the pictures! We are Americans living in Indonesia, and have always heard of Gili Trawangan as a party island, but beautiful. The great thing about Pondok Santi is that if you want to be a part of the party, it's a short walk, but if you don't, the grounds are peaceful and quiet. It is probably the largest resort, land-wise, but only has 10 units, with open space around them. The villas are all set back from the street, with a beautiful lawn in between. You can see the ocean from all of them. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a private pool, which was spectacular. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, but not overwhelming. I must also mention the Princess Margaux, the beautiful boat owned by the resort. It is available at a very reasonable price for snorkeling and island hopping trips only for Pondok Santi guests. I get seasick easily, but this boat rides smooth and easy, and I had no problems, even though I forgot my Dramamine. One of the reasons we went was that I needed to do some writing on a research project and needed a place to work, but also wanted to do some regular vacation things. The internet was good, which was important to us. This was a perfect spot, as it was easy to get everywhere (walking, bike, or horse and cart), so we managed to stay active as well as accomplish some work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is located at a nice section of the beach, close enough to restaurants, shops and nightlife but also in a quiet area. The staff were amazingly friendly. Definitely stay here!
