We just returned from celebrating my 50th Birthday at Toberua! Where do I start?! They arranged transportation from Nadi for us, arranged for a Beautiful cake and the entire staff singing happy birthday and private beach dining for my family (of 4) on my birthday, and even knew all of our names and referred to us by them throughout our stay. Everyday they came early with a delicious list of menu choices for lunch and dinner (including an amazing kids menu). The breakfast was always delicious, with fresh omelets or eggs, delicious fruits, and meant other items to choose from. Being able to walk right out from our bure and snorkel or kayak was amazing and the fish were beautiful! My 10 and 12 year old are already asking when we are retuning for another trip, and both girls made friends on vacation that they have remained in contact with.

This was without a doubt the best family experience of our lives. The food was top notch , the staff pampered us , the water activities were exciting. It was intimate and we stayed at the Villa which houses up to 10 people. We had our own private beach and we will come back at least every 2 years.

Absolutely beautiful place for a holiday, location gorgeous, staff perfect, lots to do or do nothing, food was outstanding. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommended.

One of the most authentic experiences we’ve had ever. Toberua is a 4 acre island with incredible views, beaches, bures. Each and every bure is beautifully decorated and has ocean views and beach. It’s a small island with 16 bures. It has a very lush, intimate feeling to it where you have ton of privacy and chance to connect with staff and other guests. Toberua had one of the best meals we’ve had in Fiji. Amazing kitchen! Last but not least, amazing staff. Such kind and friendly people! Definitely recommended and we will come back.

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay on Toberua and will be returning as soon as we can. There were so many highlights - but most important to mention was the incredible hospitality of the staff at Toberua. We felt so well cared for every moment of our trip and were especially grateful for Villamina, who looked after our 1.5 year old. The excursions were lovely, as were equally satisfied with the days we stayed back on the island to paddleboard, lounge by the pool and read in the hammock. The food was beautiful, especially the lunches and dinners. Comfortable beds, lovely spa services and overall an incredibly restful week. Thank you!

The island is idyllic; peaceful and beautiful. The trips and activities are fun, interesting and relaxing. The food is delicious. The staff are exceptional; welcoming, kind, friendly, professional and excellent at their jobs across the island. The staff are what makes it such a fantastic stay.

We enjoyed our stay here on the this island. If you’re looking for a tranquil and quiet place to relax away from stress of the modern world, look no further. You will have to do without modern amenities though but it was well worth it because you can just relax and rejuvenate.

The place is amazing like many others in the world that have palm trees, sand and ocean but what it made this trip SCEPTACULAR was the people working on the island. you will get the best service in the world. the took care od every detail. We are coming back

We had an amazing time at Toberua. The staff are just lovely. It's really them who made our trip so great. The food is delicious and nutritious for the kids. There's plenty to do or nothing if you want to just relax. We can't wait to return.

A lovely small island with friendly helpful service & very good food. An older resort with very traditional Fijian decor but some parts could use some repairs & sprucing up.

Everything. From pick-up to drop off was amazing. All the staff made sure we had an amazing experience.In particular, Everette, the diving instructor gave our 11 year old son his first diving experience he will never forget. Sefu was great playing pool and games with our son. The food was outstanding at every meal. We will be back.

We liked the fact that it was far away from the crowded resorts on the mainland. Going in February is the best as the kids are back to school then so it is nice and quiet. The staff are very friendly and genuinely do what it takes to make sure you have a memorable stay.

Great location, wonderful locals as staff. Good selection of water toys helped by lack of guests. Safe to let kids wander (if they can swim). Food package VERY expensive (FJ$510 for 2 adults and 2 kids PER DAY). Diving expensive. EXPEDIA package included flights to wrong airport (not hotel's fault) so we also had to pay extra for internal return flights. Also extra are return boat fares to island - should be in package as how else are you going to get there?

Best place we have ever stayed!
Honestly the most amazing place. It’s definitely worth the small fee each to travel to the island. It takes about 30 mins by boat. When you arrive you are welcomed by resort staff playing traditional music on the pier. The room was absolutely amazing, and you have free use of kayaks and paddle boards. The food was absolutely delicious also. The managers were very welcoming and even let us check out late so we could enjoy the island more, as we were only there for one night. We had wished we stayed for a week! Absolutely amazing place.

It was a wonderful experience for me and my kids. Staff at the resort are very friendly and all kids were called by name. Meals are delicious .. may be a little expensive. There are enough staff to look after you all the time.

Staff and location make the place
I came here with husband and three sons. We had a lovely time and I'd recommend the place to anyone. The staff here are incredible. I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. My infant son was so well cared for by staff when we did other activities or had dinner, he's come home and doesn't like his nanny anymore. I'd recommend prepaying your meal plan before you stay, so there's less hassle with food. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Small number of other guests so noise is manageable. If you want to dive, the staff here are awesome. You can do the snorkelling each day with the other guests and see lots. Food is also great

Unique island experience
Imagine a remote small island, where you are treated individually, have exceptional food and access to water activities like snorkeling, cayaking and paddle boarding on your doorstep. Don't look further than Toberua. It's a great experience, just sometimes a bit challenging for families to align to the lunch/ dinner timings.

This was an Easter Getaway.
Toberua is a small island to the east of Suva. The resort was intimate, with happy staff and great food. It was ideal as an Easter getaway from Suva with enough activities to enjoy or simply relax. Snorkeling on the reef and a lunch trip to Picnic Island are as active or laid back as you desire.

A lovely Fijian Island for a holiday
We spent a week on Toberua and enjoyed ourselves very much. The staff were very friendly, the island food, fish plus a special treat of mud crab superb. We spent our time snorkelling , scuba diving and of course swimming in the warm clear water. The visit to the local village showed us how difficult life can be and the support of the Toberua education fund will help the children get a good education

It's a small island in 2 acre land. There is no AC
Our experience at this island was terrible. Over all the servers were not bad. There are lot of hidden charges which they don't tell you at the time of check in. We took a spa package the lady told me the package was $215 for both for me and husband but at the time of check out they charged us $290 each . We both could say anything but felt cheated. We were charged $592 besides the hotel stay for the boat which brings you back and forth to the island. There were mosquitoes , and lizards crawling iand ants in the room. Over all I have one word to say that they are cheaters
