"No Heat, No Host Communication and Awkward. We got lucky with check in that the daughter answered the door and let us in. We never saw the host. I thought this was more of a hotel or bed and breakfast than a room in someone's house as it was. We ordered a double room and it was three rooms on the third floor of the property (One being the daughter of the hosts room) and two rooms that we did stay in and a shared bathroom. The daughter did not share the bathroom but it was clear it was hers usually. The pictures show a de-cluttered cuter version of what was there. They are storing (and not in a cute way) there things in these rooms too. Downstairs there was a very small room with a couch I suppose we could have used but it was awkward. We never really saw anyone and never the host the entire stay. I messaged the host twice and never heard back. We wanted wine glasses and for them to turn ON the heat. Yes, there was no heat! It was so cold we didn't want to shower! I think it had to be 55 degrees in there. I expected quaint in San Gimignano for this price, but this was not a comfortable stay. "

"Beautiful location in San Gimignano! The owner was so attentive and provided great suggestions for our visit. Charming apartment that serviced all of are needs. Boboli bakery (25 yards from apartment) is amazing and a must! Enjoyable stay!"

"San Gimignano is a beautiful town. We were off season so many of the shops and restaurants and some attractions we closed, but still there was lots to do and see, and enough good restaurants. And of course there were no crowds which was lovely. We took a Chianti region wine tour with Bruno and it was fantastic. We learned so much, and Bruno is a gem. The apartment was cute and very convenient to everything in town. It also had lovely views. It’s a medieval building that has been updated for today, but unsurprisingly there are some hiccups that can occur. However, everything was manageable and the host and housekeeper were very helpful. San Gimignano is a walking town and it is steep so it’s not a place for people with physical limitations, but if you can walk well it is a wonderful place."

"The location was awesome, just around the corner from a main plaza and a two minute walk from the Duomo. Upon opening the door, we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and welcoming interior. The book of information was very helpful for finding restaurants and points of interest. And the host was very responsive to our questions sent through the app."

"Benedetta was a wonderful host, from the minute we decided where we were staying in San Gimignano to the days before our arrival and throughout our stay. We had a fantastic few days in San Gimignano - the flat is centrally placed, yet is very quiet. It is beautifully furnished and with all the facilities you need for a comfortable home stay. We hope to return to San Gimignano again soon as there are so many places in Tuscany we wish to visit. This apartment is an excellent base, with easy public transport (if you don’t drive). There’s a fantastic supermarket at the bottom of the hill and an open-air market on Thursday (if you don’t want to always eat out). We visited the churches and museums around San Gimignano and thoroughly enjoyed being able to live in such an atmospheric and wonderful Tuscan town. Do visit the Casa and Torre Campatelli exhibition to get an understanding of how the medieval town of San Gimignano came about. Thanks Benedetta - ci vediamo."
