Great get-away!
The cabin and grounds were perfect for a quiet stay for 2, but we're already thinking of another trip with family! Great amenities and perfect hill country setting. The spring flowers were priceless!!

Beautiful property
My husband and I had a wonderful stay! The property is just beautiful and we loved driving the buggy around and seeing the animals. The house was well appointed and very clean. The bed is very comfortable! The creek was still pretty low but we did a little fishing one day and caught some catfish. The owner was so helpful during our stay, can’t say enough good things about this place. We would definitely return!

Fantastic return visit!
This was our second stay, and we had another great vacation for our family of five + dog. Lots of wildlife, with a bonus of seeing a pair of nesting bald eagles within walking/hiking distance. The owners have added WiFi this year, which was much appreciated. The property caretakers live nearby and are friendly and helpful, as is the owner. I don't really understand reviews that dock stars for the drought. Spring 2024 had considerably more river water than 2023, but it's still low. For us, this does not affect our enjoyment, but if that matters to you, maybe check before your stay. We're thinking about renting the adjacent property (same owner) next year and bringing more family. Coming back is the best positive review I can give!

Cozy Getaway
Wonderful experience! Our family enjoyed our stay here. Peaceful and relaxing. Nicely stocked with things that made our stay comfortable. Our pets loved the wide open spaces and we loved exploring the property on the golf cart. The teens got their internet fix with reliable wifi. Great communication from the host. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy getaway.

Celebrated our 10 year anniversary here...
I can genuinely say we had an incredible time. The vibe is total tranquility. From the comfortable accommodations to the large chime in the patio area and the far away squeak of the windmill. Andi is a fantastic communicator. She reaffirmed throughout the process that the creek bed would be dry; our expectations were completely set before traveling out to the property. The absence of water in no way diminished our experience. Andi offered us an early check in and late check out, informed us about spotty cell service and no Wi-Fi; this was not an issue for us as we were looking to unplug. Wildlife! We saw buck, longhorn, porcupine, lizards, toads and turtles. The pinnacle of my experience was birding: Great Blue Heron, Painted Bunting, Blue-gray Gnat Catcher and Summer Tanager! If you're a birder, this property is a real treat (the place is lousy with Tanager and Bunting)! Our dogs were with us, we went on several walks around the grounds. I would recommend that unless your dog is your shadow or has excellent recall, you should consider keeping them leashed. The golf cart was such a wonderful addition, we took it out each day checking out the different flora and fauna. The kitchen is fully stocked and the propane grill was great for our dinners. There are binoculars in the kitchen which I used for ogling birds, there is ample outdoor seating and the house is even stocked with some games! When we left we kept saying what an amazing time we had. Highly recommend.

Very Disappointed!
We traveled 3.5 hours to use our kayaks and there was no water. we were not able to sit outside due to too many spiders and spider webs on the porch. We could not find a broom to try and clean the porch in order to sit outside. Right when we walked in there was a scorpion in the kitchen and there is a black widow spider on the manual gate to get on property. our stay there was very uncomfortable and this place is way over priced. the listing and pictures need to be updated so that others do not waste their hard earned money on it. we only get one vacation a year and this just broke my heart.
