I reserved this room because my daughter had to do her clinical for school at the local hospital. She said the only thing they noticed there was raw fish in the freezer from a previous guest still in there and some other things that were dirty. Other then that the facility was close to what she was there for and served the purpose.

The motel room itself was quite clean. And seemed nice at first glance however as the evening wore on I noticed more things wrong. There was no cream for the coffee that was in the room and they had none at the main house. The owner said there was a man down the street who sells coffee. Towel rack in the backroom was mostly missing, just one end was on the wall. There is poor water drainage when using the sink or shower. There were no sheets on the bed and no pillowcases, just a comforter, pillows and the mattress cover. I had stayed here several times years ago back about 2010 and it was a beautiful spot to stay. Too bad it isn't like it used to be, no longer a free breakfast either.

We loved it here and would stay again, the only we found was it could be cleaners bit better. The drawers had hairs and crumbs in them and the floors were pretty dirty. But it was very cozy and nice. The heat pump was fabulous. The staff was very friendly. And the gas station across the road is convenient and open 24/7

There was no staff at the property when I arrived. I had to call and staff arrived by car but did not offer an apology. The room appeared to not have been cleaned for awhile; there were cobwebs on the ceiling and various other areas of the room including a large spider I found when I was checking out. There were cobwebs and a dead bug beside the bath mat in the bathroom. I did not receive housekeeping services in the morning and had to ask for toilet paper and fresh towels even though “daily housekeeping” is advertised. When the staff arrived with those items I showed him I had also found some clothes in a drawer that were not mine and I showed him the cobwebs and dead bug in the bathroom. He questioned if the men’s clothes I found were mine which I had already stated were not and he said he could get me a new room. I had already stayed one night in this room so I said no, hoping he would refund some of my money. I never heard from anyone again. They take full payment at check in; I do not recommend staying here.

Property was clean and room spacious. There was coffee and maker but no creamer or sugar in room. King size bed with clean bedding put only two pillows. It was an ok stay in an average property. We would likely go back if we were in the area for a night.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, check in was easy. The cabin we stayed in was cute but dated. Was shocked to pull the sheets back and find stains on the sheets and the bed skirt was filthy. This will definitely Deter us from coming back.

This property has no standard of hygiene or cleanliness. The bed was made without changing the sheets. The dirty towels were hung back up on the towel bars. There was food waste in the kitchenette cupboards and drawers. Spider webs everywhere. And NO toilet paper! Top it off, we booked and paid for a cottage and received a room in a strip motel. We strongly DO NOT recommend this accommodation.

The floors were So dirty that we would not take off our shoes After I had to go to the office to get coffee, they would not supply any creamer for the coffee ( they said because it would go bad) The coffee mugs that were supplied were not clean. We would not have stayed; but we had no choice. At least there was no bedbugs. We will Never return to this place.

Cabin 1 was disgusting. Dirty, smelly. When you let water out of kitchen sink it all drained to cupboard under sink, I guess that is why there was nothing under there. There was mouse turd and stuffing from the loveseat on the back of loveseat. The love seat was sitting right on floor , no legs, as seniors it was extremely hard to pull ourselves out of said loveseat. The floors in bathroom so crooked you had to be very careful not to fall forward .

Pictures looked so quaint and welcoming, but the unit hasn’t seen a good clean in a very long time. The bedding was warn and did not appear clean. It was a difficult night and a very early checkout.

Upgrades to rooms well done! Floors need to be cleaned with different product. Don’t wear white socks or keep the shoes on. Front desk needs to leave a note as to when they will be present. 3 parties waiting 30 minutes on our arrival to check in. Nobody there. Has great potential, front desk very helpful when present.

The cottage was not clean. I don’t think the floors have been mopped in months. We had to keep our shoes on at all times or else the bottoms of our feet would be black and sticky. Dead bugs in almost every corner of the rooms. The fabric curtains that are hung on the windows have been dusted or taken down in cleaned in what appears a very long time. The two bedroom cottage we stayed in does not have a lock on the back door which was concerning. The bathroom is covered in mold and again needs to be mopped. Staff was not very friendly- just passed a key and stuck the payment machine in front of me to pay and that was about all the interaction we had. The whole place is just not as advertised on their website.

Office staff do not man the office on a consistent manner. Staff gone early though we came 20 minutes before closing. Was not given any information like WiFi password or other motel info. Just given key and told room number…. felt like rushed out the door. No office or cleaning staff in morning when we left about 10:30am. Rang office doorbell several times and no show. No ice machine either. Loved the shower. Room nice looking, bed not the most comfortable and no sheets on bed. Room looked newly remodeled.

This was the most disgusting property I’ve ever had the misfortune of booking! Do NOT stay here! Bug carcasses in every nook and cranny and live one’s crawling about. The entire property is unkempt and unclean - NO pride if ownership here!

The property has so much potential to be amazing with some elbow grease, cleaning supplies, a lawn mower and determination. It is sadly in need of needing to be cleaned up inside and out. We didn’t see any staff doing anything, other than handing us a key. We didn’t stay in the room we booked due to water damage that day but saw another guest coming out of the cabin we booked….and his truck was there at night….likely not the plumber lol. The stove was unusable without a good cleaning, the bbq and utensils were not in good condition until after we cleaned them extensively, the bathroom floor likely hasn’t been properly washed in quite some time. We stayed but only because we had already paid, it was late in the day and we were tired. We are far from fussy people, it has to be pretty bad for us to write this review….

Smoke detectors were removed with wires hanging from the ceiling. Bathroom door did not close . Uneven floor were a walking hazard. Dead bugs in the kitchen drawers. Live ants moving around on the floor. It was despicable!!

VERY DISAPPOINTING & PHOTOS DECEIVING Implied owners on website differ from contacts on NS site. No replies to 2 inquiries re nearby largest NS wildfire. Difficult to understand attendant arrived at poor smelling office only after telephone call. Supposed “park like” “brookside” site steps from busy highway, & pool only separated by fence. Booked private cottage replaced by coloured multi-unit motel, with garbage, desolate gravelled front, & weedy uncut grass. Interior updated, but oven tray & mitts filthy, dish drainer dirty, dusty bedside tables, cobwebs everywhere, desk lamp, clock, & heat not working. No advertised “extensive continental” breakfast. Definitely not “luxurious”.

The cottage we stayed in was dirty and unclean. I would not recommend to anyone nor stay there again we paid $214 for one night and it was a complete waste of money. So disappointed!

This property was very dirty. The sheets were not changed. The dust and dirt on bathroom floor and trim was plentiful. There was only one roll of toliet paper. Only two towel for 4 people. It was a very cute cottage with tons of potential but the dirty sheets and bathroom were very hard to over look.

Dont go!
Terrible stay. The floors were so greasy my shoes were sliding around the floor. They obviously just went over it with a mop and spread the dirt around. I had to clean parts myself. I laid towels down so my feet didnt touch the floor. It was gross. Even their repairs to the room were cheap and un professional and looked bad. I went to the front desk twice and no one was there to help me. When i checked out they heard me come in and let me sit in the make shift lobby they have until i had to ask them if anyone was goin to help me, while they proceeded to talk. I wasnt happy with this place at all!
