Apartment was in a fantastic spot, close to everything! A lift would have been ideal, as it's quite a walk upif you're at the top apartment! Stayed in apartment 2, the kitchen area was very hot, we did have 2 fans which were definitely needed. Very spacious budget apartment right beside Mathew Street. Harrisons bar downstairs was great for food and drinks, staff also very friendly. There was one fan for three rooms, just as someone else mentioned. Worse than that, there was no AIR -- not just air conditioning, but no ventilation, not even in the bathroom. None of the enormous windows opened, and in fact several were painted shut. No way to open the door to get air from the outside, as there was a vestibule, then the door to the stairwell, all heavy doors. The only air at all leaked in through the base of two of the windows, where it looked like the painted seal had been cut open. False advertising. No air conditioning. I had asked about fans and was told that fans were in the apartment. 1 fan between 3 rooms! Once in the property, no response to requests for fans. Very noisy apartment. It's above the bar which blasts out loud music from early afternoon to the early hours of the morning. The windows stop only the elements. You can hear all sounds as if you're outside at street level. The immediate appearance is good. The kitchen and bathroom look good. Good number of towels, but no shower gel in the shower. We bought some food to cook in the oven. The blinds weren’t the best as they had gaps . We understand why they left ear plugs as the noise is ridiculous it’s that loud on the apartment that you would think the windows were open or you where outside the windows also are drafty . Also this hotel is no good for anyone with mobility problems as there is only stairs and they are steep.
