Great hotel and great staff. The location is perfect a ten minute walk to town or the marina. Easy access to Boca da Inferno for an amazing meal at the resturant and some sightseeing.

The room was spacious and the bed enormous! Robes and slippers are provided as well as bottled mineral water, coffee and tea in the room. The hotel has a nice spa.

The hotel was very impressive and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were very personalized when we arrived and all the staff and manager remembered us by name and inquired about how we felt our stay was. The manager was the best manager we have ever encountered. He went above and beyond to assure our comfort. He made our dinner reservations for us and helped with any inquires we had. The entire staff spoke excellent English and were encouraging when we attempted to practice our Portuguese with them. Loved this hotel!!!

Lovely breakfast choices and other dining options, good view of ocean, noisy aircon above room, not soundproofed. Room layout not ideal and outdated. Staff very helpful and polite. Good location. Good terrace for less formal dining.

The marble tile mined from the location site is stunning throughout the hotel. The newer section melds with the renovation of the older residences for a seamless transition. The location by the sea is wonderful. The staff is great, welcoming, appreciative.

This was our first visit to this property. I can't say enough about how efficient and endearing the staff was. Chistoph, the guest experience director, was one of the most impressive hotel staffers I've encountered. He knew what we needed before we knew! Another stand out was Riza, who was charming and always somehow there when we needed him. These two gentlemen really understand the meaning of hospitality and made our visit outstanding. The rooms and facilities are nicely appointed and very clean. I do see some maintenance issues, but nothing that would alarm me. Housekeeping was great and non-invasive. Food in Belvedere was quite good, and the spa is not to be missed, especially the pool circuit. Great experience, great people, great view and a great town!

Beautiful place to stay
Lovely hotel with really nice staff. Breakfast service needs a little improvement. Food is great but waiting for tea and coffee all the time is frustrating. Room was really spacious with lovely comfy beds.

The Grande Real Villa Italia is a beautiful hotel, with great views of the water. Across the board the staff was professional and the service was 5 star. I stayed around 10 days and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A Perfect Escape
It was a beautiful property and a very easy walk to the beach/downtown areas for dining and shopping. We can’t say enough about the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff from Reception to the pool staff. The breakfast buffet was amazing including lots of healthy options and the service staff was attentive without being intrusive.

They was only 2 vegetarian options on the menu 1 being chip other was soup and Bread. Not helpful at all. For room service if ur order was under £30 u was charged an extra £7 in tax.

Fab stay here lovely staff beds super comfy we all slept amazingly every night. We’ll be back. Only suggestion would be more parasols by the pool and an upgrade of bedroom carpets.

Best Hotel in Europe!
Out of all the hotels that I have ever stayed in Europe, the Grande Real Villa Italia & Spa was the best hotel! Located in a beautiful beach community, this location is ideal for a wonderful outdoor pool and close to the water for beach adventures. You can also relax with the hotel amenities, such as the great spa services and massage deals. Definitely stay here for close walking distance to the shops and restaurants nearby. Everyone was amazing and the hotel helped arrange transportation if you need transportation back to the airport. The hotel location is superior for one of the best stays in Portugal. The restaurant and bar servers are amazingly nice and provide impeccable customer service. I would definitely stay here again in the future! Come visit for the luxurious rooms, nice staff, and the phenomenal hotel amenities.

The hotel was amazing huge sizes in room , but 1st day of arrival they had issue in gas at their kitchen so only salad available.. also it stated that each room supposed to get complimentary wine which we didnt get .. also one day i asked for ice and they gave to me to carry it to my room instead of sending it just like any 5 star hotel

Beautiful hotel
Very nice hotel, great buffet breakfast, nice rooms, small gym but you still can put a decent workout together for the day. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

We had an excellent time at this property. As the word “ Grand “ implies , they surely lived up to it and beyond. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Property, immaculately clean. Breakfast was superb. Location is accessible to restaurants, the town and the beach as well. Added bonus was the sighting of a beautiful peacock who greeted us before breakfast. Definitely coming back and would recommend to other friends.
