XIX, "The house of Epiphanio" but we believe to be a previous construction. It is 1st floor with gross floor area of 64 m2 consisting of a bedroom with two beds a bedroom with a double bed, bathroom and a kitchen also accumulating the function of dining and living space. It was fully restored in 2017 keeping the original structure but adapting to the current requirements, namely in terms of comfort, pleasant living and current image. Being always used natural materials; stone, wood and cork. We tried to do a home recovery work only intervening in what was considered essential. Improving thermal and acoustic conditions. Peripheral space isolation was performed using cork. The floor is of corticite being soft and pleasant. The kitchen, as well as the common room has a different simple and very practical design to accommodate the four guests. The space is set in a plot of 1000m2 with exclusive access to guests, who can make use of the tables and chairs as well as sun loungers there. A charcoal grill is also available. The land of the house is limited by a tributary of the stream of necklaces and a watering channel. This is a true rural space in which several neighbors have close kinship ties. In a nature of intense colors there is a soft touch of lyrical and erudite even in the simplest architecture. Perhaps emanated from the countless wonderful semi-secret farms scattered throughout the area. Its location is really spectacular. A short walk into the center of Colares. 10 min drive to great beaches and 10 minutes to Sintra. There is bus service to both as well that does not take long. The apartment is basic but comfortable. It had everything our family of 3 needed. It was very clean. The bedrooms are actual spacious and are on opposing sides of the kitchen/living area. The Garden area is pleasant and a nice spot to sit and have coffee or relax for a moment in between activities. There is a large free parking lot next to the property. We met and interacted with Ricardo several times. He was very responsive. He communicated very well. And was very pleasant to talk with. His recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit for great. The building has a 3 or 4 apartments. Noise was not an issue. Ricardo is remodeling the ground floor apartment. This was not a problem at all. He did well to keep tools and supplies tidy and covered up. This did not lessen the quality of our stay but I think if you are a princess or a snob this may bother you. ##### michael o. Nicht ganz einfach zu finden, der Vermieter war jedoch nach Anruf gleich zur Stelle. Nach genauerer Kenntnis der Örtlichkeit parkten wir auf einem öffentlichen (kostenlosen) Parkplatz mit direkter Anbindung an die Wohnung. Schnuckelige Wohnung in ruhiger Lage, in der alles funktionierte mit einem hübschen (etwas verwilderten) Garten und Platz mit Tisch und Stühlen vor einer Bananenpalme. Kleiner Laden gleich um die Ecke, in dem es alles gab, was wir brauchten einschließlich Brötchen fürs Frühstück. Die Lage der Wohnung hatten wir gewählt, weil es nicht weit nach Cabo da Roca an der Atlantikküste war mit zahlreichen Wandermöglichkeiten und auch wegen der Nähe zu Sintra. ##### Georg B. I stayed 4 nights and i did enjoy the beautiful garden and the walking in the sierra.
