C'est un appartement lumineux et calme, avec vue sur le Tage. L'appartement est très bien situé, dans un quartier calme de la ville, près de la Tour de Belém, de la boutique des Pastéis de Belém (un régal!), du Monastère des Hiéronymites et du Monuments aux Découvertes, les indispensables du “quartier des explorateurs”. On se trouve dans le centre de Lisbonne en une vingtaine de minutes en prenant le tramway rétro de la ville :) On se rend sur les plages de Cascais ou à Sintra en 30 minutes depuis la gare d'Algès qui est à deux pas. Le soir on peut se ballader en toute tranquilité le long du Tage ou se faire un petit restaurant parmi tous ceux qui se trouvent autour de l'appartement. Notre hôte s'est montré très accueillant et disponible. Lisbon-Way apartments is in the Belem/Restelo area of Lisbon. This location is excellent for visiting many of the monuments, the "Pasties of Belem" and newer tourist sights, on foot. The city has excellent public transportation --- if you can figure out how to use it with multi-ride ticketing. I don't know where you can easily buy tickets and ask for information other than in the train stations which are not close by !!! Lisbon-Way apartments is managed by Gonsalo, who lives onsite and is easily reached via "Whatsapp". He cannot do enough to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. The apartments are reached via stairs and there is no lift for those who have disabilities or difficulty climbing the stairs. However, he will offer to assist you with your bags to your apartment. The apartments are large and comfortable, but not air conditioned. This may not be a problem most of the year, unless the temperature gets into the range of 80+ F ... when opening the windows and running fans (circulators) is necessary. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a dish washer and clothes washer/dryer built in. A full size refrigerator/freezer is also there. Dishes, pots and utensils make the kitchen very useful for when you don't feel like going to a restaurant. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Closets and storage are very adequate. Bathrooms are a little tight by USA standards, but modern and well-maintained. My friends and I had a lovely stay at Sado apartment. The hosts communication and check-in was easy and quick. There is a lovely welcome pack in the apartment with recommendations in the area of things to do and places to eat. The apartment is nicely situated in walking distance from some lovely sights. Although the property is on a main road the windows when closed block almost all of the sound out, my only gripe was that the residents in the apartment are very noisy walking on the wooden floors and this can disturb you in the morning. It had apparently just undergone some renovation and wasn’t quite ready (there was no blind in the bedroom), but it wasn’t a problem for us and the owner organised a hippotrip for us as recompense which was really thoughtful. It was a nice location on a quiet, charming street between the Belem tower and Jeronimos monastery, with easy access to lots of amenities and transport.
