Located right next to the famous Time Out Market in Ribeira, you will be close to a variety of trendy restaurants, shops, museums, cafés, wine bars, and with the possibility to discover the most traditional and ancient corners of the city. Many public transport possibilities in the surroundings. A perfect base to discover the entire central part of Lisbon on foot Near the Tagus River. Lisbon The Ribeira region has been revitalized in recent years and has become one of the most interesting tourist and commercial spots in the city. The delicious and famous Mercado da Ribeira- Time Out is very close. There you will find all kinds of delicacies to take home as well as some of the best restaurants in Lisbon, led by renowned chefs. You will be a few steps from incredible places, such as Bairro da Bica, Bairro Alto, Chiado and many others. The apartment is also close - but not within - the city's hottest nightlife areas: Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré (Pink Street), as well as very close to the Tagus River. The location is also in the center of all public transport in Lisbon: buses, train to Cascais, metro to any point in the city - all within minutes of walking. The airport is 15/20 minutes by taxi. \- 5 minutes walk to the Cais de Sodré Station, to go to the beaches of Estoril, Cascais and Carcavelos and the Cais do Sodré River Terminal, to the beaches of Costa de Caparica. \- 10 minutes walk to Bairro Alto, Chiado and Santos. \- 10/15 minutes walk to Rossio (train station to Sintra), Baixa, Terreiro do Paço (Praça do Comércio), Restauradores and Lapa. The windows were well made as we heard no noise from the street below. The location is perfect with no hills in the immediate area. Didn’t use the safe as I couldn’t figure out how to work it - maybe have a printed instructions card placed inside. Would recommend the apt when visiting Lisbon. ##### David L B. Beautiful, spacious and brand new. The master bedroom is pretty large (by European standards) - lots of shelf space, sufficient "closet" hanger space. Loved the 3 separate thermostats (one for each bedroom and for the common area), Lots of amenities (coffee maker, microwave, large fridge, washer drier), extra coffee etc. Huge windows - for lots of light - but unfortunately the view is only-so so - since our room was facing a narrow street with construction that - maybe will be done in a year. But this did not take away from the experience. Speakng of location: While building is generally located near the pier, marketplace and near some shops and mass transit, the front door is a little awkward to access and find: It's not that bad, but if you have any kind of disability then you should ask to make sure this one is for you. Minor downsides: 1 - Could have a few more towels. Not enough for such a place (we stayed for just a few days and needed extra towels and were forced to use the European washer drier which takes 86 hours to dry a load of laundry. 2 - Beautiful hardwood floors - so brand new that, ugh, I got injured by an exposed nail. But let's just hope it is all fixed by now. 3 - Groceries and restaurants are nearby but not that convenient - particularly if you need to walk the nearest grocery store and need more than a day's worth of supplies - this was definitely a chore.
