The Lumen is a nice hotel but we had many issues. Some issues were small and not a big deal but others were bigger. The battery in our room key scanner went out, the safe did not work based on the directions given on the front of it, the air conditioner did not work the first few days, the hot water was out when we arrived, the tablet in the room was glitchy, the key randomly stopped working on our 4th or 5th night, and the cleaning service wasn’t terrible but missed some things. All of the important issues were eventually fixed but it took a couple of days and complaints to get the air conditioner fixed. At checkout, one of the managers asked how our stay was and asked for specific issues. When we told him the issues we had, he became very defensive and said that they had fixed everything. He didn’t understand that the sheer amount of issues and the slow response to some issues coupled with the many trips to the front desk and calls was the frustrating part for us and would’ve been frustrating for most other guests. The breakfast and the rest of the staff were excellent. The light show and location were highlights as well.
