Modern comfortable and convenient. Go out the main door and make a right turn and you are at the main square on the riverfront in two blocks and in the Baixa. Turn at the door and turn right at the first passageway and you are in the Alfama with the famous #28 tram with your choice of two fado dinner restaurants right there. The rooms are comfortable and modern. You get a free bottle of water in the room daily and complimentary chocolates, cirtrus water and pastel de nata in the lobby. Breakfast was amazing. One of the best hotel buffets I’ve had in Europe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Very original hotel with a built-in museum. Although there was a couple of things that needed to be fixed, the staff did everything possible to make it right. I would recommend this hotel.

The museum portion was very unique and a great surprise Staff was very friendly, service was fantastic and the breakfast buffet was very diverse with fresh ingredients could use an actual bar section though instead of just a bar cart type section in the restaurant

The Roman ruins in the hotel's lower level set this property apart from any other I've seen. The spacious and elegant rooms are another plus. Breakfast is too expensive.
