The housing areas are not so large and to get most area possible in an apartment, the stairs steps from the building are quite tight and high. Le seul inconvénient était le stationnement de l’auto et de transporter nos valises jusqu’à l’appartement mais je pense que c’est la norme dans cette ville! Séjour de 3 nuits en août 2022 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Aurélie D. 4 mai 2018 #### Apartement excellent et emplacement idéale Nous étions très heureux d’avoir choisi cet appartement au cœur d’Alfama. C’est la première fois que nous venions à Lisbonne et ne savaient donc pas quel quartier choisir pour loger. Nous nous avons laissé guider par les bons commentaires de cet appartement sur un site concurrent mais avons réservé par Abritel Homeaway car les commissions sont moins importantes. Nous y avons séjourné en couple avec un enfant de 6 ans. Appartement joli, très confortable, bonne literie, cuisine moderne bien équipée, pareil pour la salle de bains, très lumineux et pas bruyant du tout. Le mieux de tout c’est son emplacement au milieu d’Alfama mais pas encore trop haut pour ne pas souffrir avec les bagages en arrivant. Même si le quartier populaire est devenu touristique, ça reste très agréable de pouvoir sortir à tout moment de la journée et flâner tranquillement dans les ruelles sans voiture. On nous avait également conseillé le Rossio, Baixia et Chiado mais c.est bien plus bruyant et des voitures partout. Très centrale aussi pour plein de visites à pied et si on voulait aller plus loin, 2 minutes à pied devant le Musée de Fado on avait rdv avec un Uber qui fonctionne à merveille à Lisbonne. Étant à trois ça nous revenait à peine plus cher que le transport publique mais on gagnait énormément de temps précieux si on ne reste que quelques jours à Lisbonne. Séjour réussi grâce aussi à cet appartement donc. Quelques points à savoir (sans que ça nous a dérangé personnellement) : l’escalier pour monter à l’appartement est vraiment très raide, impossible pour des personnes avec des soucis de mobilité. Mais pas de problèmes pour les enfants. Ensuite la chambre avec les deux lits simple est en réalité une mezzanine au dessus du salon. Pas gênant pour nous avec un enfant, mais peut-être si quand est on y est avec deux couples d’amis. Accueil ok et flexible pour les heures d’arrivee et départ. Merci Bruno. I rented a car for our Portugal adventure but failed to get clear directions for parking as several towns are pedestrian only. Bruno was very responsive in suggesting the cruise port parking lot. When we finally reached the apartment the stairs were very steep as described so be prepared. But worth the climb! ##### Kathy R. Before booking the place I confirmed with him that we could check in early, as our flight landed early. He told me that it’d be okay, which led me to book it. I didn’t receive any word from him after that, until I messaged him a few days before to confirm the arrangement. It took him more than a day to tell me that he wasn’t sure about the early check in and that he’d need to confirm with the housemaid. Due to the confusion, we had a bit of a rough arrival in Lisbon.The apartment is on the second floor. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but the stairs are very steep. If you’re planning on bringing relatively heavy or large bags, be prepared for the climb. Inside the place is pleasant. The room is spacious, and we managed to fit another two people in the accompanying beds. The washroom didn’t come with body wash or shampoo, which meant we had to go out and buy some. It came with a coffee machine, but no coffee pods. There’s a lack of care when it comes to the apartment and the needs of the guest. It served us well for the two nights we stayed, but I wouldn’t come again. ##### Santiago B. The unit was clean well stocked and had all the amenities that we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms. The unit says it was heated but was totally inadequate and was 10 degrees at best. Unit is tired and stairs are ridiculous steep and down right dangerous. Was extremely disappointed with Bruno, didn’t meet us at the unit and never responded to us when we messaged to say we weren’t going to stay because of lack of heat. Bruno’s apartment is spacious, adorable and extremely well equipped. The kitchen was great, the beds comfortable and everything was clean. I loved the old town area but was a little put off when the Uber couldn’t go to the door. After being there you understand but it was awkward at first, trying to find tge right place. Kitchen and bathroom are nicely renovated and clean. The location is interesting but it is a little bit isolated from the rest of the city. Requires some walking to get to metro stops, etc. Bedrooms are on upper level, bathroom is on the lower level. Some tips for nearby restaurants left in the apartment would be appreciated. We were expecting, but surprised at the steepness and narrowness of the staircase leading to 2nd floor. We managed, but elder travelers or those with large luggage should not stay here. We loved the quant Alfama neighborhood and getting loss through the narrow alleys and staircases. We were pleasantly surprised at the 1 month Saint Festivals occuring in the alleys. Music may have been loud and late at night, but WoW we loved it. Very close walk to Apolonia metro/train station, Jorge castle, and everything in the city center. If you like action, culture, tradition, great food, great sangria, bifanas, ginja, etc.... this is your spot. ##### todd h. I was especially happy with the dressers in both rooms, as well as other ample closet space. This is almost always a problem for me as I haven’t yet mastered the art of packing light. (75 years of age). The steep steps in this place (and my husband’s reaction) ay have cured me though! Was so impressed with Bruno’s quick responses to my messages, always was there! ##### SUSAN H.
