Great location in Alfama for walking to local sites. With restaurants right below you, not the spot for quiet. There was an odd beeping sound that wouldn’t stop. While there was a washer and dryer the washer had black tape on it so we figured it was out of commission. There is mold in the bathroom but it is humid and the place is old so nothing that was too alarming. Great wood floors and windows that open to really get the energy of the city. Being on the lowest floor we could not here any noise from neighbors like you might think. Location was great for sightseeing and travelling around Lisbon but travellers should be aware there is a bar right underneath the apartment which often played loud music - sometimes to quite late. (The restaurants nearby all seem to close about 10pm so no issues there) Communication from the hosts about how to check in arrived just 12 hrs before we flew leaving us feeling a little nervous but they did reply to messages whilst we were staying there.
