The apartment is on the 5th floor, no big deal,right- but these are very steep narrow stairs. There is no balcony, but you can open doors. Place was clean, beds comfortable. We enjoyed being right in the center of town and being able to walk everywhere. I would give five stars if there would be an elevator:) Climbing up to the fifth floor on a very narrow and worn staircase with big suitcases can be quite the challenge! That said, I have to say that I was disapointed to see that all of the restaurants not only take advantage of the tourists but unashamedly gouge them. We found that the prices for pretty simple food and cheap wine was higher than those found in the south of France. Two big windows with very small balconies that you can stand on, but not sit. On a street with a lot of restaurants and it was loud on the nearby streets but it was pleasant as it floated up to our place. Walking up 5 flights with luggage was VERY CHALLENGING. Be aware of this. The restaurant immediately next door was good - we had wine and tapas there. Very friendly and small compared to the others on the street which are very touristy. We were able to walk everywhere from our location. Also note that the street is pedestrian only most of the time. This is great but a taxi won’t be able to pick up or drop off in front. ##### Char R. The five flight walk up can be arduous for someone elderly and/ or out of shape. The hallway always had an unpleasant smell of fried fish, perhaps from the restaurant next door. Other than that, the place was pleasant and comfortable. The apartment was clean, and free of odors. The bed was comfortable and the low ceilings were not a problem. The location can't be beat for sightseeing and there are plenty of good restaurants in the area. There is a shop at the corner of the street, 30 meters North of the property where luggage can be stored for 24 hours if you arrive early, as we did. There is a clothes washing machine but no drier, but a drying rack and a heater are provided. There's one electric outlet adapter; a second would be welcome. ##### Alexander B.
