Front staff was very helpful and friendly. I dropped my bags off before check in and they brought them to my room for me.The room was bright and airy. Only downside is it’s a lot of stairs: if you need assistance I would suggest requesting a lower floor. Location was great; close to all.

I seemed to have a completely different reception at this hotel than those who came before me. My first interaction with this hotel came from a data breach forcing me to cancel my credit card while in the airport on my way to Lisbon. Given this inconvenience, you'd think they'd step up the customer service. But no. I have never been received at a hotel as terribly as I was here. The woman behind the desk just looked at me when I came in, and said nothing until I introduced myself. Without cracking a smile, issuing a "welcome" or in any way dispelling my sense that I was an annoying interruption to her internet time she declared our rooms weren't ready. I then had to ask when they would be ready--like a game she was playing to only reveal the bare minimum during any single utterance. We asked to use the bathroom and were sent up the dark, dirty dingy hallway. It was at that point I decided to leave. I had read the hallways were awful but it sounded like the friendly staff more than made up for that. I go with my instincts sometimes and everything told me I did not want to stay in this place. Never saw the rooms but I cannot think they made up for the scary tenement hallway vibe and the surly desk clerk.

Very nice, quiet property in the heart of Lisbon. Walking distance to Rossio train station and many parts of the city. Technically in Chiado, but very near the Bairro Alro neighborhood and its restaurants and bars. The staff was wonderful, the location was amazing, and our experience was very positive. There is a school nearby, so expect some daytime noise in small increments on weekdays. Otherwise very quiet and lovely.
