Our apartment at Casas do Bairro Conqvistador served as an excellent basecamp for exploring Lisbon. The location near St. Jorge's castle is simply incredible -- still remembering listening to the peacocks at night. Bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Great restaurant downstairs for dinner and nearby cafe for breakfast. Top notch.

We were considering staying in the center of Lisbon but we are glad we stayed here as it allowed us to discover the real essence of the city. Our apartment was spacious and modern. Communication was perfect. The cafe downstairs is amazing. The corner coffee shop and the breakfast in the next corner are wonderful. Andrea the amazing lady from the downstairs souvenir shop was so helpful and kind, just lovely. Room 102 is just above the cafe, people eat outdoors and noise will be there close to midnight, not a problem for us as it’s quite a family environment.

This property is bright, larger than I expected and in a great historic neighborhood. But the street its on is very busy with pedestrians and we felt they could see right into the unit (we were one floor up from the ground level). We could have closed the shutters but would have lost the bright feel of the place. There was a live 1 - 3 person group of musicians playing outside the restaurant in the evenings that shut down around 8 pm (late October). Happily we liked the easy listening music they played. The bus stops right across the street, taxis can come and go but travel by other vehicles (private cars, Uber) is restricted and ends about a block or two away. There is a small coffee maker that takes pods that can be purchased at the mini-supermarket a few blocks away. Overall, we grew to like this spot, but I wasn't sure about the music to begin with. While there is no AC, there is a large oscillating fan. The owners were very helpful.

If you love being in the heart of a historic neighborhood, you can't beat these apartments that literally face the walls of Castelo de São Jorge. With restaurants for breakfast, dinner, and tapas and charming gift shops all steps away, it has everything you could need close at hand. And the apartment itself couldn't have been more comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again.
