« Accommodation was average but the cleanliness let it down. The bedding was clean and fresh but we had old tea spashes on the unit and also someone's old toilet usage was still stick to the pan. "Wasn't the nicest thing to have to clean when I've paid to stay at a hotel" overall would I stay again. Yes I probably would as it may have been a one off... Some of the furniture and decor had seen better days too »

« Everything was perfect, from the friendly check in by Neil to our check out by a lovely lass whose name I have sadly forgotten The breakfast was superb. The room spacious and clean. We were in room 4 and the only downside, for me, having a sensitive sense of smell was being woken in the comfy bed by the strong smell of bleach, it was even worse in the breakfast area. It did not bother my husband at all. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room higher up, or further away from the bar area and...

« Room was nice. Food was good. Some issues. Toilet kept running had to keep pressing the button to get it to stop. Room was advertised as a king bed, instead got two singles pushed together. Some things on the breakfast buffet weren't refilled from the day before. »

« The staff were attentive to our needs. We ate there on the second night of our stay. They food was lovely and hot when served. We did not wait for too long from ordering to getting our food. There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. My and I were are aware that there was music being played when we went to bed, but I did not really interfere with us getting to sleep. Eat plugs were provided which my wife used. The pay and display car park...

![Pen-y-Ghent makes up one the Yorkshire 3 peaks which, if you accept the challenge have to complete all 3 peaks and 24 miles within 12 hours. Most people start with this one (the smallest of the 3 ) from the nearby village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. I’ve completed the challenge many years ago in my youth and this time we just tackled this one on a circular 6 mile walk.

We took the 3 peaks ascent route which is steep in places and involves a scramble up some rocks near the end but the views (when clear) are stunning. There are lots of walks  of varying lengths around the Yorkshire Dales, a definite walkers paradise.
